They always out sponsors on the tops, even the kids one's. Nae good.

 

Looks the business in person. Unfortunately I can only describe it as an 'athletic' fit so I'm gonna have to shift a few pounds before I wear it

 

Same mate, annoyed at myself for missing out.

 

Just noticed the Germany and Scotland kits, both made by Adidas, have exactly the same stripes up the front as Celtic home kit. Lazy as you can get, we were genuinely better off with NB.

 

You just realising this?

It's their default template this year/season.

Pretty much all the Adidas international and main club shirts are following this template. Even Madrid, which is all white has the same template. Just the colour schemes disguise it on first look.

It's been this way for as long as kits have been mass made.

And don't think for a moment that other manufacturers are any different.
Nike churn them out, Castore are shocking for it, even to the degree of telling the Huns they was getting bespoke kits, but they are all templates that wolves and Leverkusen had the same tops, just different colour schemes.

Talking to the manager in Clydebank store yesterday. Best selling home kit since the 2017 one that had the gold badges

 

New Balance did too, maybe harder to notice because fewer teams had the template. I can't believe people didn't notice the template.

I'm sure the yellow with the green shoulder bit was the most obvious in the world it was a template, but seem to recall folk thought it was just designed for us.

It was the same base template for all the shirts we had that year, the hoops having more white on the top/shoulder because of the template. The grey/pink one had the same cut, but they just had both the top part and the rest base grey
Liverpool had the NB pinstripes that year the pinstripes stopped where the shoulder block started.
Porto had it with a blue shoulder panel, blue and white stripes for the body.
Even the Ireland one was the same templates just the shoulder panel was the same colour as the base of the shirt.

The only thing that made the hoops that year, 19/20, different, was it had a collar. But the shirt template itself was used for everything new balance did that season.

In the past decade, I'd be surprised if anyone at all had a truly "bespoke" kit made for them from the top manufacturers.

Puma went one further and actually released all clubs third shirts at the one time, as a packaged template design. Not clubs launching shirts themselves, actually Puma just made a template for about 14 clubs and launched them like a collection.
It was the worst template shirt in recent memory.

Agreed everyone seems to want one

 

I don't pay any attention to other teams' kits and if it's the new template I wouldn't have seen it until the new season.

I think it's appallingly lazy. But you're right, they did it with the three stripes down the side last season, loads of teams had that. But I think whilst the same template in terms of structure is understandable, as in, the way the kit is sewn up, having the same design element on all kits is unforgiveable. They're charging £70+ a shirt and they can't make a fresh design?

There's absolutely no reason why they need to do this other than a) laziness, b) penny-pinching, and c) making the kit more about Adidas branding than the club they're designed for.

If our manufacturer use templates, you might as well just go to Geff or another manufacturer of * kits and use them for a fifth of the price.

 

Of course it's about Adidas branding, they pay us millions to advertise. And Adidas is a fashion brand, we'd sell a fraction of kits too if macron or joma made our kits.

 

Absolutely this, all the training gear I like as well.

Having Adidas brand with making our kits is helping with merchandise no doubt about it.

I hope we sign another deal with Adidas.

 

Im really hoping we get a bumblebee kit this year

 

I nearly bought it yesterday,but haven’t even wore that special edition one yet.* naw cheap man.

 

You'd also get less than a fifth of the sponsor income from a lesser brand unfortunately.
