We could literally put you're iPhone in beside McGregor and O'Riley and it would perform as well as McCarthy

His career is already done. He's here for a last pay day. Kobiyashi is 22 and has shown absolutely * all interest in moving on

A so called Celtic fan doesn’t use Celtic as one last retirement cheque and do the square root of * all and not move on when surplus

Shows the measure of the guy that he would do that to his boyhood club …. Look at Liam Kelly signed an extension so motherwell would get money from the euros

Take any fee for Lagerbielke and get him off the books..

Anyone in his position would do the same..

Going on like we're on our *. We're cash rich and offered him a 4 year deal he couldn't turn down. No way would I be moving if I had the injuries he's had..

    Good luck to him..

Loan him, but he sums up the summer window.

No doubt he probably has the talent and in an isolated and in fairness dead rubber game, gets us the winning goal in CL.

Then to just fade away into the abyss.

He must have shoved that goal in Rodgers face or something. As for whatever reason, Rodgers doesn't want to use any of our newer CBs

Gustaf Lagerbielke is expected to leave Celtic this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider journalist and Scottish expert Daniel Bowers explained on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that the central defender is a “stick-on to leave.”

The 24-year-old was brought into the club to replace Carl Starfelt when he departed for Celta Vigo and was signed on the recommendation of Starfelt’s agent.

However, Lagerbielke hasn’t been a regular in Brendan Rodgers’ side, which has left question marks regarding whether he was signed for the manager, or if he had a say in the situation

Fans believe the Swedish international joining the Hoops was a “puzzling” signing, and now it appears he could be heading for the exit door.

The defender initially joined the Scottish side last summer on a deal worth around £3million from IF Elfsborg.

However, he’s made just seven appearances in the Scottish Champions League this season, with Rodgers preferring other defensive options at his disposal.

Despite his lack of minutes, Lagerbielke did produce one memorable moment last season when he scored a late winner against Feyenoord in the Champions League

Sell the lad for a knockdown price to get him off the books, the current manager doesn’t like what he sees so no point paying another years wages to sit on the sidelines.
Clear the deadwood and get players in that will feature in the first team.

Mentioned this either in this thread or maybe in one of the other fringe player threads.

We are only allowed 6 players out on loan this season (not including homegrown u21s). We can't just be loaning players out aimlessly anymore. We already have that useless wee * Bernabei out doing * all on loan.

Sell him, even if it's for lesser fee and higher percentage. We can't have players with no future here taking up those loan spaces. They should be reserved for guys we want to develop to become 1st team players. Such as Holm and possibly Yang, or for projects we sign this summer that are not yet 1st team ready.

On a side not, I'm * fed up with Italian teams pleading poverty. Signed a new TV deal last year for 4.5 billion. Pay the * money and stick ur begging bowl up yer shiter

    https://www.sportresolutions.com/news/view/fifa-to-introduce-new-loan-regulations-from-next-season

"FIFA are set to introduce new loan regulations from next season that will place a cap on the number of players that a club can loan out during a season.

The decision was passed by the FIFA Football Stakeholders Committee last year and will be passed to the FIFA Council for its approval with the view to being implemented on 1 July 2022. The new rules will see a club allowed to loan out a maximum of eight players during the 2022/23 season with this number reducing by one each season so that by the 24/25 season clubs will only be allowed to loan out 6 players at any given time during the season.

FIFA hopes that the new rules will help to develop young players, promote competitive balance and prevent clubs from hoarding players despite knowing they will be loaned out season after season. For example Chelsea currently have 20 players out on loan for this season meaning that they will have to more than half this number when the new regulations come into force for next season.

Further regulation changes include clubs only being allowed to loan in three players from a single club, loans being a maximum of 1 year and ensuring a written agreement defines the duration and financial conditions."

Fifa mate, brought it in a few years ago. Likely due to clubs like Chelsea having 20 odd players out on loan for years. Started at 8, then reduced to 7 last year and now is at recommended 6.

Gustaf Lagerbielke, spm had a hard time during the season, now looks to leave Celtic. According to Celtic podcaster Scott Campbell, it is likely that the club do not want to keep him and that Italian clubs are showing interest. Exciting times for Lagerbielke

Would prefer he was loaned out instead of being sold because I do believe there is a cracking defender in there when played to his strengths. However, wouldn't be against getting him off the books permanently if it meant we got a decent fee now.

    Poor guy

Gus (Lagerbielke) had a twist on his ankle and knee in training so he’s probably going to be a week out.
