I don't know why, I just reckon he's the kind of guy that would knock back a deal with Norwich or WBA. We'll not get shot of him without changing the locks.

If they truly are interested that is exactly what we should be doing.

He’s done well enough in a spell to have Championship clubs after him, excellent news for us. He’s a guaranteed leaver for me - the sooner the better.

Strange one our Mickey, he seems like a different, better player with Ireland and West Brom but for us he’s still ineffective, maybe we’d all be full of nerves pulling on our hoops, maybe it just means too much to the bhoy, wish he could replicate his recent form with us.

Mickey has done more to justify a spot in our squad next season than Kühn and Yang.

MJ is an enigma for Celtic. Has as much talent as anyone at the club but unable to transfer it to his playing here. The problem is he has lost the fans how are too quick to get on his back. Literally any misplaced pass or loss of ball is pounced on here whenever he played. He is better going to a club where there will be less pressure on him and he can kickstart his career. His time at WBA would suggest he has a value for us. Agree that he is better than some we have but he is never going to win over some fans and his time is done. Shame.

I'm not sure he has tbh..

All three probably aren't making it here, although Kuhn still has a chance. Would loan Yang out but if punted wouldn't blink.

MJ, I think has exhausted his opportunities here. Talent not in doubt, mentality to play here doesn't have it. Think we'll sell.

    Injuries haven't helped fan patience.

Like you say its a shame if he doesn't make it here as he has the talent. He just doesn't have the mentality.

You never know, Rodgers may feel he wants to give him another shot, but with 2yrs left probably best for all if he moves on.

West Brom are exploring a deal to re-sign Mikey Johnston from Celtic in the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Johnston, 25, spent the second half of last season thriving on loan at The Hawthorns and Albion are now weighing up the possibility of a permanent deal or another loan

Carlos Corberan’s side are expected to move players on to raise funds in the transfer window, in an attempt to fund their summer business

Celtic value the winger at upwards of £6million following his impressive loan spell.

Johnston is under contract at Celtic Park until 2026 but could now consider his options after spending six months in the Championship

After arriving on loan in January, Johnston made 20 appearances for the Baggies, scoring seven goals and providing two assists

His performances after coming in on loan allowed West Brom to reach the playoffs where he assisted a goal in the second leg against Southampton, before falling to a 3-1 defeat.

Those displays established him as a fan-favourite at The Hawthorns, with fans calling for him to make the permanent switch if a deal presents itself

Celtic icon Frank McAvennie previously told Football Insider that Johnston is unlikely to return to Celtic and would find a permanent exit route in the summer.

Albion have struggled with financial issues this season despite the arrival of new owner Shilen Patel, with the wage bill needing to be trimmed before they can do business

Former Scotland defender Alan Hutton told Football Insider that Johnston put himself in the shop window with his performances, leaving a big decision to be made this summer

Be a good bit of business imo, much as I like Mikey I just don't see it happening for him here. Best for both if a good move can be found....and then get to moving on Haksa, McCarthy etc if possible.

I can see 3 - 4m given his loans been a success. 6m definitely feels a stretch but might happen with add-ons given he gets goals.

Genuinely would have been delighted with half of that reported figure. Think WBA are in a financial mess, though. Can't see them finding £6m.

That being said, I'm sure there will be plenty of the richer clubs in that league looking at it. Norwich, Middlesbrough, Sunderland and even Luton, Sheffield United may be tempted by him.

I'd try and punt him to Norwich as part of a deal for Idah
