Hopefully gets a run out then tomorrow night. He will likely get game time for us against Ayr and Queens Park in early July. Hopefully takes his chance.

Should definitely have some suitors moving into the summer for another loan. Hope he gets some game time with us in pre season and we are able to see if he has what it takes. Might be a bit too early for him but would love to see how he progresses this summer and where his next step is. Either way, we definitely have a player here who can either contribute or we can sell in a year or two for decent money after a decent loan somewhere in the Championship.

Bosun Lawal is to be given a shot in pre-season to impress Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers.

The Irishman, 21, enjoyed a strong campaign on loan this season at Fleetwood Town where he played in midfield at times. His natural position is at centre-half, though, and the Hoops have struggled in that area this term with the likes of Gustaf Lagerbielke and Maik Nawrocki struggling to hold down a jersey.

Football Scotland understands Lawal has a number of interested clubs in the EFL Championship down south waiting for the green-light to make a loan swoop for the player. But sources indicate that he will remain in Glasgow for pre-season to see how he fits in with the first-team squad.

The interest from England's second tier for the coming season is an indicator of how far Lawal has come since he arrived at Parkhead from Watford in 2021.

He has since been called into the Republic of Ireland's A team this week for coming games during a friendly double-header against Hungary and Portugal.

His kinda profile is what we could be doing with in the middle..

    Physicality
    Mobile
    Box to box
    Ball carrier
    Aerial threat

But he's probably still no polished enough for us yet. Another loan to a big 6 side in our league like the sheep would be my next move. Even Dundee united who'll probably be there or there abouts..

Pinch of salt as its English league 1 (although Oriley came from there too) but he looks an absolute monster and exactly the kind of player we've been missing for a good few years.

Ridiculous but not surprising that the fannies running our academy had been wasting him at cb for the previous 2 years

Yeah I was thinking this when I watched clips of him the middle of the park at Fleetwood. He is exactly the profile of midfielder we've been needing for * ages, but whether or not he's up to it yet is unlikely.

Remember MoR came from similar standard at MK Dons, so let's not be too snooty about Fleetwood.

Hopefully we get him into some preseason friendlies and see exactly what he's capable of in CDM role.

Description sounds like exactly the sort of option we need at CM, box to box and rotate with Hatate.

I hope we give him a chance, if we bought him for 300k I'd be excited

Callum McGregor and Jack Grealish partnership for Notts County at CM, both playing very well, was the making of them. I’m sure they were either very close to or they did get relegated?
