The Danish FA must see our league as being very weak or maybe they have a whole lot of players they can choose from that they can afford to leave out MOR. This might just sway him to move to a stronger league which would be a right boot in the baws for us. I'd love him to just stay one more year and the thing that might do it would be the CL

You'd think he still has a chance of a call up, with possible injuries before they fly out and the backlash that's gone off in Denmark about leaving him out.

Not surprised. He’ll be in the first squad the minute he leaves.

Same way van Dijk was deemed hopeless when he played with us but was immediately in the Dutch squad the minute he signed for Southampton without kicking a ball for them.

That’s the final nail if we ever had any slight hope of him staying. *!!!

That's a shame for Matt. Denmark must have a strong team if they can afford not to pick him.

SOUTHAMPTON boss Russell Martin wants a reunion with Matt O’Riley.

But the Premier League new boys fear being priced out of the bidding for the Celtic star

Former Scotland and Rangers defender Martin worked with O’Riley at MK Dons and would love him for the promoted Saints.

O’Riley, 23, could go for a record Scottish transfer fee of over £25million as interest mounts, however.

And Saints boss Martin believes his chances of a celebration signing after last week’s play-off final win are slim.

Brighton, West Ham and Everton are among the other English top-flight clubs to run the rule over O’Riley recently

But Saints know they need added quality to compete and the Denmark midfielder fits the bill.

They’ve done plenty of business with Celtic in the past, with Fraser Forster, Virgil van Dijk, Victor Wanyama and Stuart Armstrong all snapped up.

But Celtic knocked back a £20m-plus offer from Atletico Madrid in January and will want a massive fee for their star man.

O’Riley was this week snubbed for Denmark’s Euros squad but has been placed on a standby list

He’s not going anywhere this window unless we get a £25m+ stupid money offered.

I hate putting a value on our best players. I want to see fans generate a hype around Yang, Kuhn, Lagerbielke and Iwata. For me they are all elite level and should be sold for no less than £25m each. With a sell on clause.

You can have him for 30 million + 60% sell on & a set fee of 10 million if he leaves them for no fee

Southampton back in the EPL and they want our players again.

They're not the same club as when they took others from us as they're more than likely to be relegated this season.

He's going to a better club than Southampton.

If he's going I don't give a * where as long as they pay.

However it's good they are back as they don't even need a scouting department as they have a 100% hit rate going after our players.

£20m should get them taylor. Scotlands premier left back :fear:

I couldn't care either. Useless link because he's not going there.

The only thing with Southampton is that it's Russell Martin and he's managed MOR before. So he could be tempted. I really wish they would gtf and stop buying her players though

Feel so sorry for him not getting in the national squad and he should be in it...But tbh it doesnt change whats about to happen for us....We know he is going regardless of whether he is in the national squad or not, especially when teams like Athletico are in for him in January.

As long as we get the money for him and sell on fees etc all sorted....then thats what its about.

Then we go pay for a walk in CL player and not a project.
