    Madness.

Can't be because of the league we're in as they've taken Maeda and Hatate.

Manager didn’t pick him the last two seasons when he was scoring for fun so was always gonna be doubtful him getting picked this season

He has been poor this season, mainly BR does not play to his strengths and cant see him changing. 13 SPL goals is a poor return. That cup final he got one chance whole game, that cross when he was cleaned out. Can see Big Adam contributing more when introduced.
And been like that most of the season, can go completely anonymous in games.
So if we could get a decent fee, I would sell and upgrade.
We need 3 forwards for Rodgers set up. A marquee center half-like for example Edwardo. And then a proven SPL forward-like Shankland or Aberdeen boy and also someone like big GG or Adam.
If we got a good fee for Kyogo and something for OH, we should easily afford 3 new strikers.

Would be sad to see him go obviously, but it wouldn't really surprise me if he did move on this year, plenty said it last summer that Rodgers would probably prefer someone with a bit more physical presence to lead our attack, and all season it's been pretty obvious he's not nearly as effective in this setup as he was in Ange's.

If the fee was right then I’d let him go. Doesn’t suit BR system. I doubt he’ll be going to Japan this summer though. Would be happy for him to stay too obviously but can’t let the nostalgia of his first 2 seasons get in the way of us moving forward.

With all the money postecoglou will be given to spend at spurs, I can’t believe he doesn’t want a (cheap in EPL terms) £7/8 mil and above bid for kyogo.

after seeing how he hasn’t performed as well with this years altered opposition defences on him and him not 100% fitting Rodgers style. I think he would thrive in the prem with the high lines teams play and the general ability of players to see his runs

I think Kyogo will stay here till just before he is about to retire then go back home. He is 29 so the sell on kinda policy with us is away, he is winning trophys, has chance to play in europe, has team mates from same country which hopefully helps with living in a new country and we aw love him! :57:

Would hate to see him leave just now.

Would be very foolish to let him go unless there’s a very capable striker being brought it (someone other than Idah).

I just don't think the wee man suits Brendan's style, hence why he has been off it for most of the season.

I can see us letting him go and bringing in the Danish striker we have been chasing for a few seasons as well as Idah or Miovski.

The odd thing is, Rodgers used two strikers who absolutely didn't hold up the ball a lot, and mainly focused on making runs behind the defense and being a threat in the box: Griffiths and Dembele. Why can't he let Kyogo do the same is beyond me.

The manager is a * but tbf Kyogo have not been on form this season, and neither have Hatate, so i can understand it more this time. But we all know that he just dont like Kyogo for some reason and would not have picked him even if he scored 30.

I think he will but the league got really tight so he didn't want to risk experimenting imo. We will tell if he's going to work on that during pre season like he did with dembelle and eddy.

Celtic are preparing for life without forward Kyogo Furuhashi and TEAMtalk can exclusively confirm that he is weighing up his options for the future.

It now appears more likely than not that Kyogo will leave the Scottish Premier League champions with interest in the player coming from far and wide

Kyogo has made his interest in playing in the Bundesliga quite clear and has previously claimed to study the German top-flight.

With a number of Bundesliga outfits looking to strengthen in Kyogo’s position he might be well-placed to make his dream switch

As with any player who stars for Celtic there is also interest south of the border with the player believed to have caught the eye of multiple Premier League clubs.

Tottenham’s manager Ange Postecoglou worked with Kyogo during his time at Celtic although it isn’t really clear where he would fit in at Spurs in their current shape.

Kyogo extended his stay at Celtic just as Postecoglou departed the scene and now has a deal with the club that runs until the end of the 2026/27 season.

That deal might not be enough to secure his stay at Celtic Park, however, though the Hoops will be able to hold out for the kind of fee they would like for the player.

Kyogo’s agreed extension did not include a release clause and Celtic would need some persuading to let him go for £10m with a figure closer to £15m more likely to see a bid accepted.

Brentford and Union Berlin have previously shown interest in the striker.

Ambitious Japanese club ready to splash the cash to get top talent back at home
J1 League Urawa Red Diamonds are spearheading a move to attract top Japanese talents back to their domestic league TEAMtalk can confirm.

Red Diamonds have risen to become Japan’s wealthiest team and are believed to be willing to break the Japanese record for a transfer in order to lure Kyogo to Saitama Prefecture.

If Celtic play hard-ball with them they might even drive his asking price well over his £15m valuation.

Red Diamonds haven’t won the top-flight title in Japan since 2006 and they are on a mission to challenge for the top prize

The J-League season runs from February to December and approaches the halfway mark with Red Diamonds in sixth-place, 11 points off the top and eight points outside of an Asian Champions League place.

Red Diamonds are willing to invest heavily to build a team capable of challenging for the league title

We know the Urawa link is pish. Bundesliga though...that makes sense, sadly.

What makes no sense is selling our best striker while serious doubts exist over us successfully managing to sign Idah.

From a personal viewpoint as a fan of Japanese mentality being a part of Celtic's ethos, and from the viewpoint of maintaining a strong side, get this to *!
