I think Rodgers has been very clear he wants him. If the board don't deliver Idah, he's not the only one who'll be saying "thanks for the memories".

 

I know but that doesn’t stop transfer negotiations happening. Maybe shouldn’t have used word announce but still get him signed just announce when appropriate

 

I still think he signs but any new manager will want to look at him and have a chat first. It could be August before he signs.

If he doesn't say bye now he could never say it.

 

There is nothing wrong with that market if you get it right. Unfortunately we got it so wrong last summer it was ridiculous. The board won't spend £40m to generate £40m. Would I like us to sign multiple high quality players aye but important thing to remember is this is the last year of guaranteed UCL football and the board will want to keep cash to keep us self sufficient for the next few years even though most likely we will have Europa league at a minimum but there is about a £35m difference in finances. I fully expect us to spend what we get from sales and pocket the UCL cash for a rainy day.

 

It's more likely it just hasn't been decided yet. Wouldn't read too much into it, he's a Norwich player until anything is agreed after all.

 

Hope I'm wrong, but personally don't think he'd have said that bit at the end if there was a chance he'd be coming back.

In fairness he is a massive fan so I would imagine he would want to sign

He might have other options though rather than just Norwich. I'm sure he nearly went to Italy in January. Anyway as I said we will just need to wait and see.

 

And miss out on guaranteed Champions League nights at Celtic Park? Not a chance he isn't desperate to sign permanently.

 

Hard to imagine a world he doesn’t sign permanently. Don’t think we need to worry about this one.

 

If Idah has any sense whatsoever he will want to stay at Celtic. He has found a club where he can thrive he was rotting either in the reserves or on the bench at Norwich FFS. He should take a moment to think how he will feel if he is playing against some no-mark English championship side on a Wednesday night in Norwich in October when Celtic are playing the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid etc in front of the white hot atmosphere of 60,000 fans at Celtic Park in the Champions League. I realise the decision could be taken out of his hands but if its up to Idah himself then he would be absolutely crazy not to choose Celtic over Norwich.
