£6m, still feels pricey but probably fair considering his impact.

 

I don't even consider it a gamble, with what he has done so far, and he'll only improve. He seems happy to contribute from the bench, when Kyogo is on form too.

 

I like Idah but do i think he's £6m good no, I think we could get better than him for that price. He's done well but i think his decision making is poor at times i don't know if that's something BR can fix, For example the huns game at paradise when he came on he could have make 3 goal contributions but really poor decision stopped that being a 4 or 5-1 game. Anything above £3m is a no from me. I still think Miovski would do more damage up front for us than him

 

It's 2024. Ur not getting a player like Idah for £3m.
£6m isnt a lot of money in today's market, especially not for a striker.

 

For the price, we can do better than Miovski. Ok, he knows the league, but he’s used to playing against teams that will open up against Aberdeen, but who shut up shop against us. Is he going to be able to deal with the confined space? When you do see him against teams who’ll even sit deep against Aberdeen, like Killie, etc, he seems far less present and effective.

Idah, by contrast, has proven he can do it for us. I’d rather risk a completely new third choice coming in than have a guy who we’ve seen struggle against deep defences. It’s not that I don’t rate him, or that I don’t think he could adapt over time, but players like him are ten a penny on the continent, by comparison to what Aberdeen will demand.

 

That’s because you’re watching Miovski vs County, Motherwell and other teams near Aberdeen in the table, who open up to have a go at them, and leave Miovski acres of space. As a Celtic player, he simply won’t get that space at the vast majority of away grounds, and will get it vs precisely 0 teams at CP.

I’m not saying he’d flop, but he’d need time to adjust. Sack playing him instead of Kyogo or a Celtic-proven young guy with potential in Idah.

Very seldom you hear a manager especially Rodgers saying they want another clubs player... its kind of an unwritten rule. So for Rodgers to publicly say this is fairly big.

it does unfortunately give Norwich the chance to hold us to ransom on price. Hopefully Adam pushes for the move but as he said himself he's under contract at Norwich so they hold all the cards.

They might want to try him again but they also know it could fail and just sell while his stock is high.

He's probably want to talk to the new manager but the new manager may want his own guys and the sale is a way of getting money to do that.

His performance at Kilmarnock, where he was absolutely unplayable should have convinced any doubters.

 

Not sure there's many left who doubt his ability/potential, but it's the feeling that's splitting most people on whether you could get better. Like myself, I'd be happy dropping up to ~£6M on him, but I'd be very cagey about going to £8M... Not slating the player, but that would just be succumbing to EPL Monopoly money pricing...

I never saw Scott McDonald score in Europe before joining us but Miovski has, also Miovski has a very good goal to game ratio in our league. All i'm saying McDonald came from an average Motherwell side and scored a barrel load of goals for us with better players around him i can also see Miovski doing the same he's a goal scorer exactly what we need
