It’s all about recruitment this Summer, if they get it right I think we can have a decent crack at it this time.

I think tactically Rodgers got it pretty much spot on in the games this year, just a real lack of quality in key areas which was added to with injuries.

1-4 points from the pot 1/2 teams is probably the best we can hope for, l'd take 2 home draws and be happy at that.

8 points from the pot 3/4 teams is a must but 9-12 is preferable if we wanna finish in the top 24.
6 points at home here is vital.
A draw away to pot 3 is probably decent but winning the pot 4 away game will be a must but they have * girona, bologna and stuttgart in pot 4.

8 home points and 4 away points should be enough, but that's best case scenario.

I'd like to think the board would build us a team capable of all 12 points against pot 3 and 4 but it's Peter lawell so who the * are we kidding.

I'll be happy just to finish in the top 35, do not come * last.

As an AGF fan (I went for the whole 95-96 season!) * always nice to do FC Dopenhagen..although Brøndby (Well Town in English) are the real rivals lol

I actually think this new format will be better. The old one was getting stale. Get to play 8 different teams so we have got an extra 2 games for a start plus a really good chance at hitting the play offs and getting another 2 games, what should be our aim !! I know that there’s no drop down into the europa league now, and although that used to be good, I never thought that it was right. Once you get knocked out of the competition you enter then that should be that. Really looking forward to it and there’s a lot of new or teams that ain’t been in it for years so should hopefully see us drawn in some interesting ties. Really looking forward to it

No hammering is all I ask at that point. Also not convinced the slightest by this even higher carbon print format made to privilege the rich

What is the new format all about? I lived under a rock for a few months and missed it. Does it benefit us?

Yes, but in a * way.

It's just a mechanism that ensures more money for everyone...but those higher up the food chain will benefit considerably more than the likes of ourselves.

It basically locks the door on the closed shop that is European football.

The financial benefits to ourselves are considerable... But to the likes of Man City, Real Madrid et al... They won't be touched. European club football is officially dead imo. No more Porto wins or the likes will ever be seen again. It could even see the end of teams like Bayern competing, unless the Bundesliga adapts it's rules, which it may have to to keep up.

Aah cheers! Im of the controversial opinion of enjoying EL more than CL. We could compete in that league, so i hope we at least drop into that.

I dont give a single * about "CL Money" any more, because we don't get more money invested in the squad if we play CL or EL. The tight * just follow a budget, so i rather play in a competition we can compete in.

If we get knocked out league stage we are out of Europe.
If Huns get knocked out 3rd rd or play offs they drop into EL

The only upside with CL is that i think it attracts players in the transfer market. For many years i thought about the big money it generates, but we dont see that money being invested in the squad anyways. It goes into the boards pockets. We are stricktly following a budget/plan and EL covers that i am highly confident of.

Nej, Jeg er ikke dansk. I lived in Denmark for 3 years (Aarhus) and then I went back a lot as I made a lot of cool Danish friends...and my personal take is..the Danes are the coolest out of Denmark, Sweden and Norway..they have a very British twang and grew up on Monty Python and the Young Ones lol so their humour is very British..and they LOVE a beer..or 12
