McKenna on a free is an upgrade on Welsh/ lagerbielke. But think we should probably be aiming higher

 

I’d be happy with him as a back up fighting for a first team spot but don’t think he’s a guy to take us up a level. We should be aiming for as close as we can get to a CCV level or higher. Thats not McKenna for me.

 

I’d be all over McKenna btw. For example if he was playing yesterday I don’t see dessers getting onto the header to score. So many goals from the exact ball across the box this season aswell. Major upgrade on scales

 

McKenna would be a big upgrade on Scales and on a free would probably be a no brainer.

But we need two centre backs at least and I’d like to think we’d be aiming for another, better CB in addition to McKenna.

I just think we can get better. He would be coming here to be a guaranteed starter and he's no good enough for that label from what I've seen..

If he was a Scales type rotational option then all for it but he'd want a fairly decent pay package..

There's much better out there..

 

I think he'd be a good signing on a free and can solve that issue for a season or so while we focus on more pressing matters (GK, LB, CM/DM, ST and RW). McKenna is a much better player than people give him credit for, and is better than any other option we've had in recent years except CCV.

 

Would take McKenna in a heartbeat. Exactly what we need domestically.

 

Yeah I absolutely would not be hesitating in getting McKenna in.

His homegrown status alone is worth the wages.

 

I think we’ll try shift Rocky and Lagerbielke. If that’s the case we’ll need 2 cbs, McKenna be a no brainier if so

Aye leaves us a bit unbalanced. Wouldn't be against punting Scales for McKenna. Hoping we only gave him a new contract to stop him leaving for free

 

I've kinda warmed to signing McKenna now, but would still prefer better, as close to CCV level as possible to be a starter.

 

Sign Boyd from Aberdeen.

We literally need to dominate this league off the pitch.

Any youngster that sneezes, we should be signing.

We either whack them in our own unders team or we immediately loan them out.

We dwarf the whole league financially and should make this league work for us.

 

Nah we will ruin him if we sign so young, let him go to the prem or whatever will happen. We need to get Scot’s in at the 19/20/21 age when they’ve proven they’re ready for the league. Lennon miller is obviously an outlier there being 17 still but he’s proven over this season and some of last he’s ready.

But I still feel we’d sign him and not play him or fans would want us to sign a £6m foreign player instead

doubt Aberdeen would let him go too for a small fee so we’d be paying for possible potential.

in my opinion Lennon miller is the only youngster in our league we should be signing. To potentially fill one of our departing midfielders places. Rest of the up and coming youngsters I don’t think cut it at this minute.

watson won YPOTY but from games I’ve seen where Kilmarnock aren’t playing great he doesn’t seem to do much and Beck, not good enough to take Taylor’s place. Lyll Cameron wouldn’t be able to take anyone’s place either and Boyd has only played 20 minutes of football. (Not saying he won’t possibly go on to have a brilliant career)
