Think it's a good time to sell to be honest, been a fantastic player for us and I hope he goes on to the top.

Rags running with Brighton, West Ham and Everton in for him.

If that's the case he should stay.

    Don't know about that.

Brighton have a great record with player development and then moving them on to the big teams in the league.

I'm hoping he does go to Brighton, they pay a hefty fee and keep him on loan to us for next season. They have been known to do this regularly. Problem is that O'Riley is first team ready right now.

I think this is a very special time inside the squad I can't remember players loving being here quite like this , and you can tell it's genuine. A real magic chemistry in the squad with respect and friendship throughout it seems . Bunch of good guys with MOR being one. He may well go but he , like Big Joe Hart, is one of us now .

Where else would you get a 23yo competing in the champions league, home grown for the English league and a full Danish international for less than 50 mil. It’s only us that get short changed

It’s Alan Nixon who writes for the Sun down south and does freelance. He does freelance stuff as well.

He has also linked us with Muric from Burnley which would be a good shout for a keeper.

I mean, all this is true.

We wet ourselves with the idea of £30m but in the EPL that buys you * all.

Then people will say but this is Scotland. I'm sorry, but Portuguese, Dutch, Belgian etc all charge much bigger fees than us.

    It's time to demand more.

Bristol City sold 20 year old Alex Scott to Bournemouth for €23 million last Summer. This was on the back of 1 goal and 5 assists in 42 Championship appearances.

I couldn't pick Alex Scott out in a lineup.

Yet some people would be happy to receive £25 million for O'Riley.

We should absolutely be demanding more for our players.

We absolutely categorically will not be holding out for 50 million. That is straightforward bullshit.

We will look to receive a bawhair over half of that.

Considering some of the players in the EPL £50m is a bargain.

Ahh I was unsure thats why I asked mate, I agree that we need to be selling our talent at a higher price but this issue is the board they get a massive erection and just sell if its sounds good enough instead of trying to negotiate a higher fee.

How much will depend on who is looking, how many are looking and what % we owe on the sell on clause... He could also easily have a fixed selling clause too... He could easily go for a MASSIVE fee if we're taking cash with no sell on ourselves, but that's unlikely...

I'd imagine the fee sought will be around £30-35M, but will depend on who's bidding and how desperate/competitive they are about it... He's easily worth that as a homegrown English player, given his talent.

If I had to guess, I'd say £25-30M on the nose with 10-15% sell on... But that's very probably just my own bias on our/his worth talking...

We should get getting a record fee regardless for him but if he goes and has a good Euros, we could be looking at a bidding war for him.

I think O’Riley having a great Euros is unlikely. Not that he isn’t good enough, just I don’t see him playing much. He is very much on the fringes of their national team and their manager seems to side with the experienced players.

The £50m is total nonsense, being honest I wouldn’t be surprised if a deal with a sell on realised could end up being worth about £40m but £50m straight up is never happening.

We did want more than £30m for Edouard but COVID happened. He is another if he moves in the summer we will likely be due a sell on of some note.

My guess is O’Riley moves on and goes fairly soon after the end of the season, I can see another Jota type scenario where he goes before June 30th and we sign a couple of players. If I was guessing something over £25m but about £30m tops probably.
