I'd say we should be after Marco Grüll from Rapid Vienna, should have been who we signed when we signed Kuhn. Primarily a left winger but can play either side. Entering last year of contract so would likely be a good deal to be had.

He’s signed for Werder Bremen on a precontract but would have been a very good option. A player I like who is similar in style is Fabian Reese at Hertha Berlin.

Obviously I'm not saying he would be a definite success. I'm just saying for the outlay he's shown enough to be worth a punt. We've signed similar players in the past who have been successful or at least made a contribution. Nearly everybody on here said Idah wasn't good enough - now most of them have changed their tune.

 

Can’t look far past the lad at Blackburn, Smodiczs.

I accept he might have had a one off season but stats speak for themselves. Might mean Idah or Miovski go on the back burner.

He would fit into the ‘next level’ transfer in regards of fee and semi low risk vs someone from Europe. One to watch I’d suggest.

I like Reese! Absolute cult player at Hertha. Looks like an 80s German hooligan. Was tremendous this season. However maybe a one season wonder?

 

Sell MOR for 30mil+ to Atletico and loan Vermeeren for two seasons. Absolute baller, but way to young to have taken the step from Antwerp to a Spanish top club. Was preshered to leave antwerp since they urgently needed money.

 

I am worried about one season wonder but he does have all the tools to be a good player and would be a good fit in terms of physical profile, tall for a winger and great pace.

His dribbling ability, can hit the byline, gets in at the back post when opposite winger has it 21 goals and assists in 31. But I do agree he hasn’t done much before now and is 26. Although I do think he’s the type that a USG or the likes would sign out of nowhere and he turns out brilliant.

 

Anyone know much about league one and if so, what someone like Lukas Jensen has been performing?

Is league one typically a place to grab talent and immediately put them in the CL, probably not. But 25, Danish, decent amount of clean sheets (19) for a team that finished 7th could be signs there is something there.

 

Don’t know how much he’d cost but Bjorn Meijer.

Primarily a LB, can play LW. Strong, fast, good on the ball and he’s 6’3. Only 21

 

Club Brugge signed him for 6 million Euros and seems to have been a regular so probably a non-starter. Need to be picking these guys up before they end up at these sort of clubs.
