James Forrest

I can remember just the one because he was put in a * of a position and it was that noticeable it didn’t go to one of our players, ridiculous in possession and always has been

 

Still only 32

 

How many times have we said "he's done" over his career? Thing is, you could be forgiven this time for saying that after Ange's first season, he was clearly behind Jota, Abada, Maeda and Haksabanovic.

Start of this season we sign Palma and Yang and sign Kuhn in the January window, yet Forrest usurped them all.

He's proved us all wrong again, he's been sensational since he got back into the team, maybe the loss of pace is a blessing in disguise, he's terrorising fullbacks.

I think we need better competition at RW than Yang and Kuhn, but I have no issues with Forrest being there for next season.

 

Such an attacking player, and virtually never loses possession. Fantastic again tonight.


Where did we get him from again?

 

Been outstanding over the past few weeks, and unquestionably a legend.

Never understood how much * he’s taken, especially as he’s a one club man.

Be interesting to see how James continues to evolves his game, now his pace and quantity of those runs surely begins to diminish.

I wouldn’t right of a completely different role over the next couple of seasons

Hopefully he moves outright 2nd on his own next week with the cup.

Only needs 3 to be out most successful player of all time although it's a record he may not hold for too long as Cal Mac is only 2 behind Forrest.

Still only looks about 26, he’s got years left in him if he keeps up this level of performance and importance. Think his decision making has evolved and matured so much this year, happy for him to be around a few more years

 

I think that for once in his Celtic career he is surrounded by the right players. I used to think that he was running around like a headless chicken and never one to get into a serious tackle. This JF is a different animal. It's like something has clicked.

 

He came in when we needed him and helped turn our fortunes around. Club legend.

 

He has been exceptional since coming back into the team against Aberdeen in the semi final.

I think it’s one more year on his deal, let’s see how next year goes and that’s how it should be treated.

Much like Hart, I think knowing it was his last season brought the best out of Hart this last few months. With James slightly different but similar presented with an opportunity which never looked likely and never looked back.

However, I don’t think there is any guarantee he starts next season in the same form, nor stays fit to play week in, week out. He can be a useful squad player next season but we need a first team regular winger brought in during the summer.

 

Wee jimmy shudders, modern day Celtic legend. STILL pulling on the hoops and STILL producing the goods. Hope the lads who wanted rid and slaughtering the bhoy earlier in the season hang their head in shame.

 

Him and Callum are Celtic through and through. Absolutely love it

 

For the run in he must have had the biggest in impact on a season in the smallest amount of games any of us have seen

 

That’s him matched billy mcneill for honours and Bobby Lennox the only one winning more. Amazing stat, wee man will go down as one of the greats. Can’t speak highly enough of him
