In my head, Rodgers' ego wants him to be that guy to get those numbers.

 

They won the league another year on goal ratio despite Hibs having better goal difference and goals scored.


Their fans already want to count lower leagues, local war leagues and the petrofac cup. I think they will too, to try and continue the myth.

I don't want us to celebrate it, maybe a few jokey flags from the crowd but the club shouldn't.

 

I'll be pushing it in their face at every single opportunity personally.

 

Aye I don't really want the club to be coming out with anything 'official' declaring us the most succesful club in the world, them claiming it based on domestic honours in scotland vs other much higher quality leagues and european achievements just shows how absolutely desperate and tinpot they've become, but I'm all for some fan made banners getting it up them.

 

Personally speaking I just want the new lot as dead as the old lot

We as fans should rip the *, purely because we know it's all they have. But the club should just celebrate the double and third league on a trot.

 

Al-ahly have 122 major trophies.
Scumfucks Linfield have 56 league titles
We win Scottish cup we tie with Deadco/Sevco combined in minimum 4 seasons less than them

 

Al-Ahly's number of trophies is quite questionable. 17 of them were the Cairo League, so not a national competition (3 of the ones they won had no actual matches, they just took results between Cairo teams from the national league and made a table. Then 14 Super cups, that's a bit meh too.

Didn't realise Linfield had more league wins than them, quite funny. I'm sure some of them will be glad to get 56 in spirit.

 

When we overtake them I'd love us to completely dismiss it and laugh it off.

Point to Al Ahlys trophy count, make about of mention that Egypt is part of the world and ridicule the people who havnt acknowledged them while talking about "World records".
Would also point to Real Madrid and their 15 European cups/champions leagues.

I've never read anything into their trophy total whether combined or seperate club totals. Our total doesn't bother me either except for the fact that it will give the yapping shitshows across the city one less thing to try and crow about.

Other than that tho, doesn't bother me.

 

We should be adding the Empire Exhibition Cup and the Coronation Cup to our total. Those were both hun celebrations that were national tournaments and not some regional bullshit. You can bet your life that if the Huns won any or both of those it would in their trophy totals.

I feel bad for Dumbarton, having to share their well deserved title with the Huns is a bit *.

So much of their "55", "most successful club in the world" marketing was solely done to package the newco club as the same as the old club. It was very shortsighted as now it all just looks a bit * when we take over on both measures.

And when we do I hope we hardly mention it. I would hate to see us stick that kind of nonsense on our walls. It really doesn't mean much to anyone. Watching them implode will be fantastic fun though.

 

I was listening to the 1986 title deciding day on Clyde 1 on youtube about a week ago.

After the game the inteviewer guy mentioned something like "thats the clubs 34th League title" and Tommy Burns went "is it, I don't count them I just like winning them"

Worth listening to just to feel what it was like at the time

Hugh Keevins was reporting from the Celtic game and Jim Craig from Dundee, quite good to hear interviews and stuff from the manager and players before and after.

 

105 if you take away their Cairo, 91 if you deduct Super cups.

They have some random Arab cups on top of that.

Even saying they have the full 134 I dont think thats uncatchable. But I'd only give them the 110.
