Can that type of window happen? Once in a blue moon. However half these clowns demand and expect mircles every window, and cry like wee lassies when it doesn't happen.

That particular banger is one of the worst for it, so * him, I'll call him and anyone else out for it whenever I feel like it. Cheers.

Might as well not sign anyone and just promote academy players. This hoax by the board to make it seem like they are doing something every summer/winter window is pathetic.

Potentially Frimpong sell on to come in aswell think he will leave leverkusen in the summer. We could spend 30 mill and be in profit as we will probably sell O’Riley for 20 odd. So that would cover 5 players at 5/6 million each

As has been well agreed in this forum, the summer window was an absolute disgrace.

Not one single player, signed in the summer, started on Saturday. That says it all. In fact, not one single player from either window started.

Agreed I think an older, proven keeper from the top level for a couple of seasons at a time is a solid strategy.

Aye unlike our other signings of talented players from lesser teams or Leagues, taking that risk on a keeper seems too much of a gamble.

You don't know if they will settle, theres massive pressure from day 1, 1 mistake in your first couple of games could rattle you. Going with someone experienced who fans know means they'll be trusted more even if they have a mistake.

Boruc and Forster were good to be fair, could just be Barkas scaring the * out you.

Offer them £5m for Butland :fear:

In all seriousness, he would be an ideal replacement for Hart in my opinion.

I find it interesting that we were able to play our strongest team for the first time this season at the weekend and not one player signed in our last 2 windows made the starting 11. It means that in those 2 windows, we lost Jota, Starfelt and Mooy (and we also lost Abada this season, albeit under different circumstances), but didn't sign a single player who makes our current strongest 11.

I find it interesting that our manager hasn't wanted to play many of our signings, most notably Lagerbielke and given quite limited gametime to others, such as Nawrocki.

I find it interesting that Joe Dudgeon and Mark Lawwell were forced out left by mutual consent shortly after the second window closed.

This is pretty damning. We're not asking for miracles every window (although the odd miracle would be nice); we're asking for a minimal level of baseline competence.

Having an experienced proven keeper is for sure a very good way to go in net IMHO. Given Siegrist will likely be gone we need a second gk in as well.

Honestly I find it staggering how people still can't tell the difference between airing grievances in a constructive manner, and downright petulance. SOME people have rarely if ever got anything positive to say about the club when things are going well, yet are out with the pitch forks at the first slight opportunity.

That's my issue. Spoiled angry *, not folk who feel we could and should be doing better. A lot of folk seem to take issue with me trying to keep a bit of perspective, they can get * as far as I'm concerned.

Need to spend £30m minimum. Will we? Will we *.

I * hate those in charge and the recruitment team.

Regressed in the last 3 or 4 windows and spent a pittance.

I think unfortunately we’ll lose both O’Riley and Hatate this summer. Between them, hopefully Frimpong and getting rid of the surplus to requirements I honestly think we could be looking into the region of 50m plus on transfer sales.

However we will need every bit of that pumped back into players coming in. I think we are looking at needing the following.

    2 Gks
    1 LB
    2 CBs
    1 DM
    2 CM
2 AMs who could possibly play out wide also
    2 ST

As for the goalkeeper I’d like to get someone with experience who’s done well down south. Seems to work for us and the Zombies Forster, Hart, McGregor, Butland.
Really want us to get Miller from Motherwell. Not really that fussed with anyone else in Scotland.
Think we should also be looking at a few loan to buy options, worked out well for us in the past.

Not looking for much am I :56:
We’ve the money so why not though :BR1:

There's nothing wrong with you providing an alternative perspective and a bit of balance, mate; but I think you have to accept that some people are going to want to vent at times. We all do it. If you are gently pointing it out when people are being entitled and petulant, that's positive and constructive; but sometimes you are just getting dragged into bickering and name calling.

Don't get me wrong: just as they are entitled to vent about the board, you are totally entitled to vent about their venting; but let's not lose sight of the main point in the meantime: that we still don't have a DoF. that we have no information about how they are rebuilding our recruitment structure in a more professional way (if indeed they are) and that the appointments we have heard about so far look like they might be the same old pattern being repeated.

Could spend £30m in the summer and we wouldn't even touch the money in the bank or the Champions League money. Absolutely staggering. You could probably spend £40m and do the same, especially if we were able to move on some of the deadwood.

Players out (sold or out of contract)
    Hart (retiring)
    Siegrist
    Lagerbielke
Bernabei (at end of his loan)
    McCarthy
    O’Riley
    Shaw
    Haksabanovic
    M Johnston
    Oh
    Bernardo (end of loan)
    Idah (end of loan)

    Loan out
    Montgomery
    Frame
    McPherson
    Holm
    Kelly
    Yang
    Kwon
    Tilio

    Possibly leave
    Hatate
    Palma
    Nawrocki

    Must Sign
    - Goalkeeper starting 11
    - Left back starting 11
    - Left Centre back starting 11
    - Box to box centre midfielder
    - Attacking midfielder (O’Riley replacement)
    - Winger starting 11
    - Striker starting 11 ready.

    If possible transfer go
    - flair centre midfielder
    - back up right centre back
    - Winger starting 11

Other positions I would like to look at
    - another option at right back
    - defensive midfielder better than Iwata
    - back up goalkeeper

A lot of work to do, if all of O’Riley, Hatate, M Johnston, Lagerbielke and Palma are sold and Frimpong moves your looking at an income on sales of around £50m.

We will be guaranteed around £45m from CL which compared to about £15m we would get from Europa league that we budget for, that’s a £30m uplift.

Also got the US tour and given we now (nearly know) we will have guaranteed CL money next season no doubt can look at another couple of glamour friendlies, possibly the Aviva but forward planned for a better turnout this time.

Said it last year Athletic Club would be a cracking one maybe in Bilbao this time.
