I think that's what our esteemed scouting department need to figure out - it's not about the cash spent, it's the quality.
We got Dembele, Larsson etc for buttons
But if we do need to spend big, we should be going up to £10M or more for the right player, even if it's starts with a loan (as we did with Édouard).
I want to see ambition beyond what we have today.

 

We wouldn't pay that without knowing he would be a success. A nice loan provided that just like idahs loan is currently showing. I'm pretty sure our scouting department spot many great talents, problem is that every team will be spotting them and offering them better weather and money.

However, I'd be very impressed if our scouts managed to find the next Ronaldo that no other team with scouts could find and we get him. Until your land of magical dreams comes true, I'll stick with a big guy who's proving himself right now and scoring near everytime he's on and at an age he'll only improve.

 

This may upset people but Kyogo is 29 now and we need to be looking at the next striker. Miovski ticks every box and at 24 looks like he could replace Kyogo in the next couple of years. I'd be happy to sign Idah and Miovski and have all 3 of them as options.

I do think if Rodgers thinks he can develop Idah then he may be worth a permanent deal. So if we are saying £5m is fine for a back up player, we would all be fine paying £10m for a more finished article right?

 

Sign Idah over Messi, because Messi hasn't scored goals for us?

Were no talking about messi though we’re talking about Idah and miovski. Sometimes it’s better the devil ye know, we know Idah does the job for us would miovski? Who knows.
would miovski be happy as a second choice striker? Who knows. Fact is we’ve got Idah here now and he’s scored the goals when needed and seems to be happy not being a regular. 5 million for what ye get with him is a fair deal but time will tell.

 

Nah not for me, I'd rather go for Miovski.

 

That's just such a stupid outlook though.

We know Bain can keep clean sheets, better the devil we know and we shouldn't sign another keeper?

It's not stupid though. People can move from 1 club in the same league and not perform. It's definitely a lower risk option buying Idah knowing what you can get, how he fits within the squad, how he trains and does he get on with the players and coaches.

If 5m is what we plan on spending I'd be fine with either of those two. I think we get a good return from both. I'd personally rather we went a bit further out and bought someone else to oust Kyogo.

Saved us at Ibrox, but ruined his standing today.

 

* 3 or 4 huge chances in the space of 20 mins. * spending any sort of decent money on him.

 

Gave us a boost when he came in but I don't feel like we should be making him permanent.

He's a poor footballer with no killer instinct. Not cutting that chance back to Kuhn shows his lack of football brain in a nutshell.

Aye he gives us a bit of physicality but surely we should be setting our sights higher.

Have a feeling he'll sign though and probably end up being our main striker in the CL ffs.

 

Said it before but I still don't really see anything from him that makes him stand out head and shoulders above Oh, wouldn't be paying the quoted price tags for him.

 

Go in for Miovski.
