Was a good player for us and I certainly appreciate his goals but without a doubt it was the right thing to sell him because every time you read interviews with him he as you rightly say comes over as a * and I would throw in prima donna and constant whining as well.

Despite all that, the 29-year-old does have fond memories of the club and has only good things to say about it.

Also, he's spot on about the weather lol

Can't speak for the whole of Holland but the area round Amsterdam can be freezing in the winter. Plenty of storms across the year too, but generally it is better weather than here.

The rumours were we did but not to the level he wanted. I think we should have kept him til the summer and said you go then.

Would have loved to have kept him longer, but after hearing this he joins a long list of * we're better without.

Him and his * pansy wean should have stuck a fleece oan if they wanted to go play in the park. Pair a *!

Aye, wasn’t saying anything other than that. But all things being even if we’re going for players, it’s a factor.

Well the weather never bothered the other big Greek Giorgious. When Samaras could be arsed and when he turned up he was unstoppable. Samaras Sunday etched in my memory forever.

We should’ve done more to keep him tbh. Look what came after him ffs.

We should have kept him until the summer but I certainly wouldn't have been going out of my way to make him one of our highest paid players which he was wanting to be

No really saying anything wrong. He deserved a pay rise and we obviously didn’t offer him one. The weather in Glasgow is rotten. That’s a fact. I’d have him before Idah, and certainly before his replacement Oh. He absolutely ragdolled Militao at Celtic Park. That type of physicality is definitely something we miss since he left.

We did offer him more money, same with Juranovic, just not as much as they wanted. Juranovic was always going to move but maybe a better offer would have kept Giakoumakis.

Had initially thought Oh might have had a chance of filling the gap but he hasn't come close.

He doesn’t really mention about an offer being on the table. Just that he felt he was due more money and didn’t get it.

Just find it strange that he didn’t mention it if that is what happened. Whatever went on, we lost a good player and replaced him with someone vastly inferior.

Just my opinion here but I think while money was likely part of it he just didn't like playing second string to Kyogo. The guy was a good player for us but comes over as an ego maniac.

I called it with him ages ago. Wanted to double his wages which was never happening. We got good service from him but Idah is a better player and Idah has already managed to scored against the huns, something Giakoumakis never did. I’m incredibly unsurprised that he mentioned the weather being a factor too. * * myself laughing at folk who tried to mock that as a consideration for players.
