Wilson looking pretty likely to win this final 18-5 or something

I take it back what I've said about him, that he's not got the determination to win the title. He's looked laser focused here and thriving on it. He'll win it and it'll be massively deserved.

Aye he’s been to 3 Quarters, 2 semis and a final before this season. His game is built for the crucible. Hard to see Jones winning any more than a consolation 3-6 frames in this final. He’s being utterly outclassed.

Wondering if maybe the lack of competition from Jones is making Wilson look better here. Obviously it helps with confidence being so far ahead so the pressure is not as intense.

Probably Nitpicking tbh, Wilson has looked excellent regardless.

Fair play to Wilson, he’s levels above Jones but it’s going to make for a pretty * final.

Fair * to Jones. Needs to win this last frame of the evening to make it 10-6 and then it’s game on tomorrow. Loses it and goes in 11-5 and it’s hard to imagine any scenario bar Wilson lifting it.

Jones has done well to make a game of this but can’t help but feel this will be done early. Those last 2 frames of the afternoon session all but killed off any realistic prospect of a comeback.

Overall Wilson has deserved it, he’s had a dream draw pretty much all the way through but he’s taken advantage of it so fair play to him, he seems a right decent guy too compared to a few of the other *.

Must admit, this has been one of the shitest finals I've watched. In fact the whole tournament has been a let down.

I mind the days watching * going down for a long red and you just knew they were clearing the table or at least winning the frame. The standard these days is absolutely *.

    Boring pish.

Brilliant final in the end full of drama. Well done Kyren Wilson you can see how much it means to him. Amazing effort from Jones to make a game of it in the end. 18-14 is no disgrace and an effort to be proud of until the day he dies. £200k to go with it won’t hurt either!

Thought the quality of snooker was quite poor from what I saw, but I didn't watch all of it.

Well done to Wilson great scenes at the end with his family, Jones for his part had a really good tournament.

Wouldn't say it was a vintage Championship this year but at least good tae see a first time winner rather than the usual names lifting the trophy.

Don’t know why but can’t stand Jak Jones.
Others I don’t like in snooker are O’Sullivan, Steve Davis and Stephen Henry.

People think Ronnie O’Sullivan is just being controversial when he berates the standard of player these days, but he’s not wrong.

    That tournament was * poor.

The fact O’Sullivan, Williams and Higgins are still competing at the top at their age tells you all you need to know.

I think a big part is people aren't watching. In the 90s having the WC, BO or Masters on the Tele was a big deal. Even in the 2000s. Something happened and people stopped watching. Although to be honest Big Break helped me get into it as a child. I think there is very little to start enjoying the sport from a young age.

It's also quite expensive to go to a snooker club to practice for a kid too. If I'm going to pay that amount per hour for sport for my kid so he socialises with friends.

The reason darts is attracting younger generations; atmosphere, speed, glitz is the reason snooker can’t.

They need to move away from the Crucible and tart itself up, you’ve seen attempts to like the golden ball in Rihad and shot clocks etc these are all positives but it can’t shake off the fuddy duddy element that push against change.

I think they should push speed snooker a bit more. To be honest I don't see why you can't have a league, 10 players, best of 5 (but time limit so can be a draw) and have a weekly show. We need snooker with 30 minutes time limits of 15 seconds per shot, 30 for a snooker. I think it would be great fun.

I also think snooker needs to move away from the crucible. It looks old and *.

Trump wins UK championship and decides to pull out of Scottish Open.
Should be fined for doing so and disqualified from next major UK tournament.
Snooker fans will have paid a lot of money to see the World number 1 and just like the arrogant English * Ronnie O’Sullivan he has shown total disrespect to Scottish snooker fans.

Aye snooker badly needs a revamp, too many auld farts still dominating the game, no exciting young talent seems to be coming through.
