Ah..but the major flaw in your post is.. getting the funds 'released'....We could be sitting on £120m soon and doing eff all with it.

His goals to minutes is very good, and just going on his raw attributes he always looked like a bit of a happy medium between Kyogo and GG to me. We should have had a loan lined up for him once our interest in Idah was concrete, absolutely pointless having him sitting on his * getting zero playing time and stagnating, at his age he just needs to be playing consistently to develop properly, or at least getting shop windowed for a move.

I think he's a talent, but his time here is probably up. I hope he goes and gets a proper chance somewhere else. To be fair to the lad he's never had a run here, who knows how he would have done.

Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up having a really good career elsewhere.

As @horseshoe says, his goals per min played ratio is pretty impressive, and really you would think it would warrent more opportunity than he has been getting, but Rodgers clearly doesn't rate him, so I presume he will be either heading for the exit this summer, be it a loan or perm.

Too many were last year, from 10 minutes into seeing him as well, annoyingly. He needs a year of games in this league and I’m sure he’ll thrive, come back here ready for a tilt at proving himself.

I’ve seen enough out of him that I believe he has a good level of potential, he has a lot about his game but he hasn’t got the reliability that comes along with games and playing through 2/3/4 games of bad form. He’s either good or anonymous for us, and that’s a young player. His goals to minutes for us is really good. If he wasn’t the replacement for GG, people would be a lot less harsh. He’s a great 3rd striker option for us, but we can’t keep him in the shadows and not getting any development at all because he can be handy for 10 games or so a year.

He probably has one of the weirdest Celtic careers ever, played in 49 games but 43 of them from the bench.

Ryan Christie started more games under Ange than Oh has for us since he signed.

He's only ever started in 2 home games, one in February 2023 and one in December 2023.

I think he's one where we just need to accept he isn't good enough. Two managers he's had here and neither clearly fancied him all that much.

He has something about him but most of it is just being physical and a pest. Doesn't hold it up particularly well, gives away loads of stupid fouls and needs half a dozen chances to hit the target.

Given Idah's last two performances I'd have him on the bench at the weekend.

Given that Oh he hasn’t played for months, his match fitness/sharpness levels might not as good as Idah. So I would definitely stick with Idah as the second striker for now. Oh needs a loan move next season before we can really judge whether he has a future. I personally quite like Oh and think there is a player in there but he just needs a proper run of games.

Absolutely, let someone else figure out how good he is (or isn't) then bring back or sell, without any risk to us.

Idah arriving put in perspective how far Oh is from being good enough. Idah looks the part but has a lot to work on, but after a game or two you could see how much more of a threat he is than Oh

Agree with you there. Hopefully we can find a buyer for him this summer. It would be best for his career and for us.
