Our board are not exactly unknown for these sort of cheap, short term, determental to the building of a squad, sort of signing.

They also enjoy to leak these things to the press as well.
Thankfully, I hope, this ain't their usual outlet for such a tactic.

Oh I agree, and if word comes out fae BR or Celtic that we are after Begovic I'd be * raging, but not because a * wee journo prolly with an agenda was bored and put out some story with no quotes or links to us.

Any time I've seen him he's looked * tbh. Complete journeyman and failed at a few teams, plus he's 34.

Would be like signing a much inferior version of Joe Hart.

The 36-year-old has been touted with a move to Celtic Park in reports south of the border - and has previously admitted he was considering all his options when pressed on a move to the Hoops. The Bosnian had been locked in talks with QPR over extending his stay at Loftus Road after his deal expired - but it now appears talks have broken down.

West London Sport report that Begovic has "opted to move on" following talks with boss Marti Cifuentes. It is claimed he was told he would not be first-choice keeper next season and would act as understudy to Paul Nardi."

 

We should be signing a keeper in his late 20's or early, early 30s FFS at constantly be linked with goalkeeping dinosaurs..

I'm not fussed about age, that's not what would put be off Begovic, I'm put off because he's *.

 

It’s going to be him I think, his “I’m really excited for my next chapter” doesn’t sound like someone who’s going to Bournemouth or Newcastle to be second Choice as they two clubs keepers are better than begovic so that leaves us ,sounds like he’s going somewhere to be first choice.

Begovic I would have took 10 year ago but would be underwhelmed to have him 1st choice now , does fit into Celtic going for more experience but surely there’s better out there
