I'm not sure how Mykolenko managed to carry on. That ankle twist looked really nasty.

I think Everton should have taken him off rather than risking him.

Liverpool absolutely pathetic tonight. Pleased to see Everton get the better of them.

Hardly an inspiring new manager coming in either. Don’t see what the fuss is with Slot at all.

We should have been them twice and they’ll finish second in the Eredivise.

With 3 games to go they are only 7 points short of their winning total last season. Their total last season wasn't great though and wouldn't win it most years. I think it was more to do with PSV and Ajax were miles off it. It's an odd choice to be honest but there must be something they see in him.

I'm surprised they are going for him. He's not done enough to merit a top job.

When Erik Ten Hag is doing so badly with Man Utd I would have thought there would be a little doubt about a manager stepping up from the Dutch league.

It looks like a big risk.

Dutch managers don't seem to really take the step up, recently anyway. Ajax had Frank De Boer leave and flopped, Bosz left and flopped (now succeeding at PSV), GVB was successful at Feyenoord and done * all since, Schmidt left PSV and done well last season with Benfica but apart from that nothing great.

Feyenoord were not good in Europe, I'd understand if they got through to CL last 16 or had a good EL run but they didn't.

Is this the worst era of managers?

Is the way the game has changed for players becoming more made for a system rather than have individual "maverick" brilliance becoming something that is bleeding into managers?

Just looking at Liverpool and when you look at their potential signing of Slott it feels like the market of great managers is about as thin as it has ever been.

I wasn't impressed with Feynoord when they played us in both games.

You've seen a lot of managers who people held in high regard fail at big clubs recently like Pochetinho, Tuschel, Ten Haag, Potter. I'm sure there are a few others.

I also think it's harder to spot a good manager. Football, even 10 years ago, was more even. You didn't need to be an amazing club to be seen as there was a chance of getting to finals, winning trophies or even coming second. I wonder about how good Guardiola actually is, he's never had to manage a * team just extremely wealthy team.

Think in terms of squad size etc I wouldn't expect them to maintain that form.
Surprised to see Bournemouth kn top 10. Tbg don't follow epl much but they were teetering and worked back up this season

De Zerbi hasn’t really done any better than Potter. That’s Bournemouth above them now as well. He seems to be very highly thought of however, but since they went out of Europe, they have been woeful. He has been getting linked with some big jobs, but I don’t really think he has merited it.

I agree with this you also see a lot of managers of smaller clubs now getting a lot of praise for their style rather than their results at clubs.

Where you cannot argue some have done good jobs where they are at the moment it doesn’t really add up how they are being linked with top clubs. Thomas Frank of Brentford is one for me, De Zebri another Brighton have been in free fall for months now.

I actually cannot remember a time where so many big clubs were looking for a new manager in the same summer but really have so few options to pick from. Bayern are a good example where they are considering going back to Nagelsman again.

I can only assume Alonso has decided to stay at Leverkusen because he fancies the Real Madrid job when Ancelotti decides to leave as he would have been the top choice for so many teams.

I wanted Iraola in the summer. As for De Zerbi , Brighton fans are convinced he's wanting out
