Idah vs Miovski

You can be damned sure that if we don't move on Miovski the Huns will...

I doubt it.

Shankland is the one they would want out the two imo. Unsure if they can afford it though as it'll take a huge chunk of their budget (if they don't win the league). Could easily take a third of it. They need their money to go a long way this summer if they fail to win the league as they need to replace a * of a lot of numbers leaving.

They definitely can't afford Shankland and Miovski. Both will cost similar prices so it's either one or the other and I think they'd want Shankland over Miovski.

 

If not us, I reckon Miovski is off to Italy or a even a club thay just bounce between the EPL and championship.

 

Not seen much of Miovski, only against us. Can someone who has seen him play a lot tell me, is he a striker that needs space in behind the defence similar to his goals against us?

 

Id say Idah, just because he’s here doing the business already. He’s the kind of character you want around the club, gets on with the guys, understands what it means to play here.

But Miovski could end up being like half the price. Tough one tbh.

 

I think Shankland is going to the last year of his deal he will be sold for about half what Miovski is.

They are talking about signing Sima, owe money for Diomande. If they do sign those two that will likely be around half their money unless they win the league.

We too need to spend a good bit on our team. First team alone we need a bare mininum

- Goalkeeper
- left centre back
- left back
- centre midfielder (at least one)
- left winger

That’s just to actually be first team players, we also need:

- back up Goalkeeper
- proper competition at Right back
- probably another centre back to compete with CCV and new starter.
- the other centre midfielder
- striker to compete with Kyogo.

We also need to get a list of guys out permanently or on loan to play football.

On Miovski or Idah, I have done a big u turn on Miovski, I think his last two games against us have shown what he can do. Before that I have to say I was never impressed when he played against us. He often done well against our rivals.

 

Miovski for a utter diabolical Aberdeen team over the two seasons has 49 goal involvements.

This season alone he should easily break 30 goal involvements 100%.

To put into context Kyogo had 39 goal involvements for us last season under Ange is only on 20 right now.

I'm not for a moment saying Kyogo is a lesser player, I will forever go at Rodgers for his own personal refusal to play towards Kyogo's strengths before I ever would dream of questioning Kyogo.

But the fact Miovski is putting up similar numbers in a far, far inferior squad is telling for me and I do think he could be a fantastic bit of business for us.

But either way, Celtic * should be signing both Miovski and Idah, and hear me out.... Doig at Sassuolo could be a shout at LB as they are looking like they might get relegated from Serie A

 

I'd be happy if they signed Shankland..

Miovski is levels above him..

No really. He doesn't need the space but finds it well with his good movement on the shoulder of the last defender but is equally as good in the box as a poacher..

One thing that put me off him before was I thought he was a bit too one paced but his workrate and cleverness make up for it. He's actually a bit more mobile than I thought anyway..

 

Shankland can score goals, but he is very one dimensional. He wouldn't suit us or Rangers. He would slow the pace of our games down.

Rangers can't afford to sign another player with no sell on value. Shankland is coming up 29.

Miovski is levels above Shankland.

 

Get the both of them. Kyogo, Miovski, Idah. Lovely

 

Signing Shankland is very short sighted but he's nailed on to go their by the summer 2025.

He'll score them goals, no doubt but for how long? Three seasons max, probably. That's if he keeps fit. Looks to have the Morelos body though.

I'd say Miovski is the better of the two currently and Miovski has got a higher ceiling being 24 compared to 28. Miovski is definitely the more rounded player like you said. He can play as a poacher or someone who can make the runs and has the strength to compete with bid defenders. Shankland is literally a penalty box striker.

 

It's not like we have the money to do it.

If we win the league, we really have no excuses whatsoever to splash the cash.

The huns won't be able to without Champions League money. Sima and Diomande will cost them an obscene amount of money. Well over half their budget will be blown on those two easily.

Miovski could be ofski to Feyenoord accord to the record

 

That would be disappointing to see... think he'd be great for us. But again not surprised he's rumoured to be getting such interest if it has any truth to it.

 

I think we missed the boat on him by not getting him in the January window but we will see. We should at least try and get him this summer.

 

There's literally nothing stopping us opening talks with Aberdeen for Miovski or Motherwell for Miller now.

 

Last weekend is by far the most uncomfortable I’ve seen CCV. Miovski is a very good player who would improve with better players around him in my opinion. We should be all over him.
