    Undoubtedly.

I don't know if we are managing his injuries but if that's the case, it was a ludicrous decision giving him a long term deal.

I understand people want rid of him in the summer but I'd definitely keep him around.

He was great coming off the bench. He just felt solid. Something that Yang and Palma weren't.

Two moments of quality got us two goals his own and the ball in behind to Johnston for the third.

Forrest himself probably could have added another when he tried the outside of right foot finish but you can’t complain with what he brought to the game. By the end he was carrying our attacking play as Idah screwed up almost everything he done as did Palma.

His experience could be vital in the run in..

He only has a year left on his contract.. so he'll do next season and retire as one of the most decorated Celts ever.

Ultimate big game player. All the talk about Halaand in big games, Henry’s career was haunted with his record in finals (14 with 0 goals, got MotM Euro 2000 though). Then even after he, after a cruciate injury, past his peak Henrik getting MotM and 2 assists off the bench to win the CL at Barca.

Honestly, outwith Messi and Ronaldo, there’s not many you could argue this side of the millennium to be as devastating as Henrik in big games. Zidane the other obvious one off the top of my head.

And I don’t think I’m being biased in that opinion, maybe only a wee bit

Don't think your being biased at all. Zidane was definitely a big game player too.

Zidane was that much a big game guy, it drowned out a lot of inconsistency from him. Drogba was the other big obvious example I was trying to think of.

Henke played in 2 European finals though, and he got MotM in both. Sadly lost the one for us, but 21 years on as much as I wish we won that for us, I * wish we did for him. He deserved it so much

Mbappe has proven he's a big game player imo. Two World Cup finals he's showed up in.

Definitely, talking about Henry it’s why he came out and said not long ago that Mbappe has already surpassed him if people want to compare.

And I find it hard to argue his point, but nostalgia makes me uneasy with it :56:

I still think of Mbappe as quite young in my head but I just looked him up and saw he's 25. I can see Henry's point tbh. Some folk will argue against it because Mbappe has only played in the French league though. Although he's only 5 goals off Henry's goal tally for the national team in 46 games fewer.

He didn’t point it out it was the article I read talking about him saying that with Mbappe, but it was nobody ever raises the question between him and Giroud, who’s the top scorer ever for France.

25 is still relatively young really, not a prospect or a youth player, but relatively a player on the younger side. French players will absolutely have the same view as Henry because what he’s done Internationally, the rest of the world will only catch up to that when he moves from PSG and does it at club level as well.

Regardless of CL goal record etc.

Especially most of the rhetoric we hear, being so close to England, is the French league and what he’s done there being looked down on. Which is bullshit, Zlatan made the point it was all he heard from England about him, moved to Manchester Utd as an old man, dominated, left.

Aye, Giroud is fairly underrated considering his achievements. I wouldn't say he's on the same level as Henry or Mbappe though.

I always think of 25 being the age where a player is properly established as a senior player.

He’s not on that level, that’s why it was being used as an example. He’s not got the big game thing either, but he’s consistent as * a goal scorer.

25 is the age I think the same mate, he’s not a ‘young player’ but 24/25 in football terms is the age usually between being one of the youngsters but not one of the old heads. Probably an old stereotype now with the way sports science has came on but the peak age was always said 27-32. Was always a general guide that as well because there’s been loads of examples even when it was said all the time that it wouldn’t fit. Mbappe as a teenager was a ready made superstar, and his body’s kept it up. R9 is the guy I compare to most from the way he plays, and he was * by 25. Even half the player he was at 19/20 he was one of the best. Mbappe’s 25, and had that level from like 17.

What is it with the arseholes in the msm.
    They keep getting figures wrong.
Forrest has played 490 matches for Celtic not 488.
I have updated the figures ever since he made his 450th appearance.
10 more appearances and he will be only the 18th Celtic player in the history of the club to reach 500 appearances
