Honestly can’t see anything that points towards Beale being able to be a good manager anywhere, Huns bought into shitetalk generated mostly by him that he was the ‘success’ behind Gerrard. That success being not very successful. He was in freefall at QPR and jumped to the Huns, somehow talked his way into Sunderland afterwards and was an unmitigated disaster.

Under zero pressure he got results at first with the Scum, but even then tactically he was * mental. Two times against us I laughed at decisions he made, that made them so much worse. Sakala destroying an unfit Jura at left back, took him off him and put him central. And Morelos being useless for 60 mins, scoring and for 10 minutes bullying our defence, looking right up for it, he took him off. Guys useless.

He has managed this season quite well I think, been given a * hand by the board, too many signings not ready to play as a starter. I said in another thread back in Feb that we should win the league but BR needs to earn his pay for us to do so, so far I think he is delivering, hopefully by 18th may he still is. I think he will

Key players being available now shows how much we missed that quality and bad luck we had with injuries. And two guys in January that by all accounts were Rodgers signings and him alone, in a window we went ballistic for no backing and rightly so, they two invigorated the squad and have shown the importance of recruitment. The backing he had has been shocking, our injuries just as bad maybe * worse.

But there’s still been a lot of times this season, even with all that, there’s been enough on the pitch that we’ve not managed to show enough or grind it out. And some bizarre decisions from BR at times as well, he’s changed the style and allowed more freedom for guys on the pitch. Then getting Hatate back, CCV back, that’s made it click even more and now I’m confident both with the quality on the pitch, the bench and with Rodgers.

But I have misgivings still, it took BR far too long to act on what he was seeing. Think the overly cautious, slow, risk free game we’ve seen a lot of this season up until Motherwell second half turnaround is down to the manager not trusting the guys on the pitch, and I get that but it made it worse. And I’m * convinced taking Palma off vs Hearts when he was the only creative outlet on the pitch, for Bernabei who the week previous wasn’t trusted in his own position and Ralston came on LB instead was a message to the board that his hands were tied and needs backed. I think there’s been a couple times his previous stint here he done stuff like that as a message, I get the frustration, but that’s almost self sabotage. And stuff like that ended up with us in a title fight, he thought 8 points and the buffer we had, and how * they were was safe for him. It nearly backfired. He has a grip now, back him to the hilt in summer, next season of that happens will be my barometer for him.

He won everything he's ever entered except the league Cup this year. Should be 100% win rate at hampden then.

dont want to speak too soon but we seem to have got our * together after the team meeting to discuss what was going wrong, rodgers comes out in the press to say 'im not telling them to pass it backwards and sideway' even though that slow backwards side to side pish is how all his teams play .if someone has convinced him to get the ball foward a lot quicker and he has went along with it thats a good thing

Hes probably not used the words sideways and back but "keep it safe" "possession is important" "pass only if you know they'll receive it" etc.

Thing is Rodgers created the most attacking team iv seen at Liverpool. Imo it was better to watch that klopp and his teams been brilliant. So it's not beyond his capabilities, I just think he does try to be to safe and players then play the safe pass. It's been alot better recently though.

cant mind who it was against but the number of crosses shot up in the very next game ,think someone must have raised the issue at that point and as you say its been a lot better

Waxing lyrical yesterday about the squad and how well they're training etc. Then they produce that performance today.

    Been the longest season ever.

Regardless of what happens between now and the end of the season he simply cannot be allowed to take us into the next. Utterly unthinkable.

At this point in time, we're just arguing caution into the wind.

We all know the football has been far from the set standard over the course of this season, but it's not going to get suddenly better with such few games remaining.

At this point, as long as we win, I don't care, it needs to be different next season but we need a massive overhaul before we start seeing improvements.

I'm glad that the shootout didn't go to our THREE CB's. He should be dropping Scales after that.
