Just as I type that they score.

But they still are a bit wasteful

    Liverpool getting demolished.

You really only have to come 11th though as chances are a team who came top 4 in one of the top 3 leagues wins CL.

I was worried about an English clean sweep, looks unlikely now.

    Brilliant results.

Leverkusen could be on their way to a treble. They’ll get through, especially now Paqueta is out for the return leg.

Liverpool still have a chance of clawing that back but surely Atalanta will get over the line.

West Ham & Liverpool looking likely to be eliminated after tonight and Villa will face a tricky away leg in France with a 2-1 lead as it currently stands

Leverkusen will beat West Ham in London, people were saying earlier league is more important but amazingly the league is won more or less, you can never write off that Liverpool team but it’s a one helluva ask

The team I fancy most from the 5 is Man City to go through but even that is by no means a certainty

I don’t particularly like any English club, would quite gladly see the 5 of them go out, from “the best league in the world “

Always a joy to watch the arrogant English clubs ripped to shreds on their own pitch.

They really were Atlanta done some job on them, most teams that go ahead at annfield usually try to shut up shop, but certainly not what Atlanta did

For the standards they’ve set they were, 33 attempts, 73% possession, one attempt against them and yet again making sure of a good result in the end when it looked like one of those days it’s not working for them. They got 1 and then made sure the short time left they’re going into the next leg with a 2 goal cushion rather than thinking that’s them job done for the win.

Watch them anytime I can this year man, it’s not just the style of them, the * mentality they have is something else. 3 points away from Bundesliga and can focus on Europa and the cup final they’re in for a treble rather than a close run in. Hope they get a clean sweep. Helps that Frimpong is there enjoying a former Celt doing what he is, and Xabi Alonso is one of my favourite ever players.

I’m mega impressed everytime I see them. Similar to Napoli last year but as good as they were, Leverkusen this season are different gravy.

Bayern this week against Arsenal shows they’ve not fell off a cliff and allowed a free run at the league, Leverkusen have done it themselves. They showed that resilience and mentality tonight as well

As funny as it is, I really wanted to see Liverpool-Leverkusen final, Europa final that probably would have more quality than the CL that.

But Liverpool needed to make sure of it, and Atlanta * dismantled them tonight.

A very strange line up from Liverpool. 6 changes. In the last game they stuck a full strength team out despite already being 4 up. They got a * result a few days later though and I wonder if they have decided to say EL isn't important.
