Been saying that’s why he’s still here and the way he should be used since he got a new contract. Forgot all about it and was shouting get Yang on for Kuhn and was delighted when it seen it. Didn’t think of it at all until seeing the post you quoted earlier tonight.


All hindsight innit, mind the semi final when he was just on extra time, didn’t chase Bassey back leaving him miles of space for us to get beat? Could have been that and we’d be shouting for Yang. But aye, on reflection I want Forrest for games we need experience and to manage games out.

He has been good in recent sub cameo's and I just feel his experience would have helped. But ultimately to be fair to Rodgers and the team its Beaton and Var that was our biggest issue unfortunately as I felt they would be before the game. Thankfully we played well overall and its still in our hands as we head into the final 6 games.

 

We’ve handled this signing terribly. Should either have be getting regular minutes off the bench, or sent out on loan.

We just have no plan for these types of signings at all. Kwon was scratching his * for 6 months. Lagerbielke signed and bombed out. Yang isn’t ready but he’s not been loaned out either.

 

The problem is we make far too many of this type of signing. Nowhere near good enough for us but we buy them anyway. Pathetic recruitment.

 

Whilst ignore better players in our own league, mcginn, ferguson, hickey etc

 

Tried to sign two of they guys, Hickey said no to us 3 times, one time whilst he was actually here. McGinn we * about and were * pathetic and it was the board, he was the managers main target.

Ferguson I suggested here once and got ridiculed for, not just for his family although that played a part, he was deemed * nowhere near good enough. Since then and what he’s doing in Italy, I mostly hear folk saying they didn’t even consider him an option but we should have.

I'd love to see him regularly at Hibs or Aberdeen next season.

I just want to see him regularly so we can see what he can actually do. He's not going to get that here next season.

 

He's a big talent that needs gametime in our league for me..

Definitely loan him out. What to do with Lawal is a tougher choice for me though.

Brendan Rodgers has warned prospect Odin Thiago Holm he’ll need to work harder to cut it at Celtic.

The youngster has featured in pre-season clashes against Ayr United and Queen’s Park but has struggled to break into the side following his £2m move last summer. But Rodgers said: “They need to be a much higher level. If you’re going to play for Celtic, you have to be. Odin needs to do more. There’s something there, though, absolutely.

You see Francis Turley when he comes into the game the other night. It’s a kid I’ve only seen for a couple of days, and if he can progress and get his body right, then he’ll be a proper player. It’s a kid that moves well.

You see how he moves, how he takes the ball, makes runs, he’s bright, he gets in the box, gets a finish. He just needs to get more power and energy, but that’s football, that’s movement, that’s taking the ball, that’s being clever.
