Walsh I thought when he got moved to left centre back his performance was up 100 per cent than what we are used to

Welsh? I like him, can't remember how he played on the left side though. Was that when Scales was injured?

Seems like we desperately need a scapegoat. Up until a few months ago it was Hart. No point in calling for Hart's head anymore since he's about to retire. I guess Scales is the new Hart.

Was when scales was injured for a game I felt I more assured with walsh on that side
Was st Johnstone game never gave the ball away once in the role I know saints got a goal back just looked over the highlights and long behold came from right side alistair Johnston way out of position in centre of the box when he should be over right haind side behaving like a right back

Yeah but in his defence we kept giving him the ball when we know his shortcomings. It would have been easy for him to just start hoofing but he kept trying to play the way he was being told to.

We definitely should be signing a quality centre half to replace him in the summer. I just don't think he was as bad overall as he's being made out to be.

It’s not making him a scapegoat when he’s performing at a level that quite blatantly isn’t good enough.

Hart wasn’t being scapegoated. He was being, rightly, criticised for making mistakes.

We kept giving him the ball bcoz the huns wanted us to. They pressed high but left him spare as he's the 1 they wanted on the ball bcoz he's the weakest of the 4 with it.

Tactically it's smart from them but from our point of view when other teams are realising he's the weak link and are setting up to allow him to get on the ball, it's time for him to be replaced

Scapegoat or not he’s a bombscare on the ball. Passed across the front of the box yesterday right to a hun player, pure suicidal stuff.

That is a tactic that teams have been using but I don't think that was by design yesterday..

They pressed us initially and our quickfire goal completely rattled them for the full first half..

They didn't know whether to stick or twist with their pressing or sitting off after that. Their midfield was open. Their front 3 were all over the place. We had them badly spooked and dominated because of it..

Squad player, that’s it. Brave and earnest but just not at the required level.

Taylor should’ve been upgraded on last season, at the latest. Same thing with him, over and over. Another squad player.

Taylor had a great game yesterday and has been good since came back im swings and round abouts over him as I know for fact last oldfirm game taylor was shocking I’d say getting in a proper left back for competition is a must rather than just dropping Taylor

Aye their press compared to ours, particularly 1st half was nite and day. Far more structure to ours but was noticeable that in 2nd half when Hart had ball at his feet, Dessers went to CCV, and their wide players sat on our full backs. Scales was always the free man but with Sima and Lawrence ready to press the moment he received the ball they were able to give him 10 yards of space bcoz they knew he needs at least 2 touches to set himself for a pass.

As you say others have employed this tactic already bcoz they have pinpointed him as the weak link. That's some achievement considering Taylor is next to him

Probably too late to change it, better to go with a settled back 4 for the run in..

He's being made a scapegoat, lagerbielke looked slow, Welsh has always done fine and Scales can tackle can pass ans wins most of the balls in the air.
Fine for me in the spl, however come champions league games im hoping ccv and nawrocki are the partnership or a new ch with class.
