He’s the darling of the support and understandably so, but he’s been poor this season. Not just by his own high standards either.

Didn’t do the job he should’ve done when brought on today.

 

Didn't look fit, bit of a mistake to play him.

 

Criminal mistake for their 2nd. Just utterly brainless.

 

Should never have been involved today. Would've brought on Bernardo before him.

Been disappointing all season.

 

Easy for all to jump on him after his performance. Can’t you all remember what everyone was saying 12hrs ago??? Play McGregor at all costs…..

I wanted to see him brought on, but it was clearly a bad decision in hindsight.

I do think he’s had a poor season all things considered, and have been saying as much for months.

 

He's been * for most of the season, let's be honest.. discounting his current fitness.

 

If he was fit. Think that's the issue, he's obviously not.

 

Couldn’t barely walk never mind run, if he couldn’t make the best decision for the team and miss out then it should have been taken from his hands.

If it was that obvious to me watching on tv that he clearly wasn’t close to being fit enough to take part, then I don’t know how the * our medical team/coaching team couldn’t.

But that was clear to any fan even 12h ago. He didn't play a single minute since the injury and people on here still thought he should be first pick. Derbys are not the game to get match fit.

 

I agree. I thought the midfield that started was right.

 

If anyone else gave that ball for their goal they'd be absolutely slaughtered in here in fairness

Midfield went to * when he came on.

 

We get too emotionally invested in players out of loyalty and sometimes we take a while to recognize or admit that maybe they are past their best. Calmac hasn't been all that great for a while and I was hoping that we would have a rejuvenated player coming back...........the Calmac that we all know and love. I think players like him need to have their game time managed better.

 

He was absolutely key in the first 2 games against them we won this season, definitely wasn’t sharp enough to start and that’s on Rodgers.

Issue was Hatate wasn’t full fit and O’Reilly looks fatigued as *.

 

Looked lost when he came on…. Hopefully back to his best soon cause we need him to be.

 

Hard to come in to a frantic game when 100% never mind coming off a long lay off
