You're aff yer nut, we could sign 4 guys at 1.5m who will never get a look in in the hope we sell one on for decent money instead!

I'd sign him as well, he's a reliable and consistent player with good technical quality and good on and off the ball. Only 21 and not played a lot of football.

Look at McGregor at 21 to 25 or Rogic at 21 to 25 or Brown at 21 to then or O'Riley 2 years ago to now, Hatate at 21 I dont think was even playing real football.

I feel he's more like them than guys like Ntcham, Bitton, Turnbull who had big weaknesses in their game they had to make up for, Bernardo is well rounded and will probably only get better.

Very lawwell type comment but id sign him but I think the fee should be negotiable.. think at 4mill and a 10% sell on would be fair to all parties including the player..

There is an option to buy in our loan deal for him but I don't know if the fee is already agreed. Personally I would be happy to see him signed on a long term deal in the summer. He is young and has shown real promise at times this season. But obviously it will depend on what the fee and the sell on they will want is. We paid 6m for Jota so 4m seems about fair for Bernardo. We will have to see.

Folk suggesting we should spend 6 million on him are basing that on 3 games maximum.

His consistency of performance is shocking.

He’s done nothing to be worth 3 mill never mind 6. 3 good performances in 7 months is pathetic

No chance should Celtic be spending £6million on him if that's the price. He's alright but we could surely do a lot better.

The absence of foresight amongst a lot of fans is shocking. Guy has all the tools required, a bit of time and patience will see Bernardo become a top player, whether with us or elsewhere.

    He's only just turned 22.

He's played more games for us this season than he has in any other season so far.

He's the perfect example of a young development player who is gonna blow hot and cold.

He needs another season of decent level football before he probably settles in to a style/position/club/rhythm, whatever to in wanna call it.

I'm intrigued by him and he's the sort you'd happily take a punt on, knowing he isn't the finished article and needs more development.

But as much as he is that sort of player, so is kwon and Holm and Yang and oh and an endless stream or talent we bring in that needs proper coaching and developing.

Id buy him, if it came with two stipulations -
We don't spend £6m as he's not worth that for now.
And we declutter the entire club so that when we do sign a FEW guys like Bernardo, we can actually develop them properly and they don't just get added to a long list of squad talent that never gets developed.

Ntcham at his best * all over Bernardo in my opinion, considerably..

I watch games and barely notice he's on the park..

Aye he's had a couple of crackers but nowhere near enough. His loan at Estoril was fairly similar..

He does work off the ball and has a decent touch but all too often he's ineffective for box to box 8 and bar a couple of good/important goals, his finishing in the box has been dreadful..

Of course we should sign him, we'll get 15 plus when we come to sell him in two years time

If he does this at Ibrox I'd give them 7.

You should maybe gie him a tap on the shoulder next time you see him and ask him to use his tools more often to the benefit of the team because currently not only is he barely more than decent he’s actually making the guys he’s playing with worse.

He's a decent player. I'd hope there's a level or two for him to go yet.

To pay £6m I'd be wanting him to influence games a wee bit more at times. But I think if you stuck a player cam on him you'd realise a lot of the work he does.

I do still feel our midfield is so unbalanced which doesn't help anyone in it.

6 million is bordering on the steep side tbf but he’s a player that will 100% improve imo, has all the tools.

He has had quiet games but I can’t recall him having a stinker or having no effect on the game at all. Yes, he could impose himself more but that will come consistently with age and experience.

Kinda missing the point here, but then you're not really known for appreciating players who have technical ability and the potential to improve their overall game.

Ntcham was a quality player. His attitude was honking at times. In terms of ability between him and Bernardo it’s a no contest though.

I’m not really known for much mate other than having opinions on my club.

He has talent and he does work hard, that’s undeniable. However, what’s also undeniable is Dens Park and at home to the Huns was a different player to the one we’ve seen the remainder of the games he’s played and ultimately as a result he’s not worth 6 million to us.

Look at what CCV and Jota were doing for those sorts of fees and compare it. You can’t.
