Your Wildlife Sightings!

I'll have to dig through my old photos, I'm sure I've got one of a peacock with plume fully out, magnificent looking bird.

 

This morning on my local patch with my partner in crime Ruby Roo of course i was delighted to see my first Red Kite of 2024, a pair of them. Also great close ups of goldcrests, a chiffchaff and a female stonechat.

 

I've had a really quite start to the year good friend. Everywhere I've been. it's been really quite. I'm STILL waiting for my wildlife year to kickstart. It's really concerning.

 

A few from the weekend at Balisodare, it was pretty quiet around the estuary, I managed to catch a couple of Shelduck having a bit of a tussle, i think it was more a show of strength than a fight, it's that time of year i suppose. Shelduck. Bar tailed Godwit Greenshank Cormorant in breeding Plumage Redshank

 

Hooded Craw. Redshank. Eurasian Teal.

 

The Tussle, none of the birds seemed to be any worse off when they had finished, maybe it was a dominance thing as there was a couple of Burdz hanging around.

I saw 2 Black Bears while Driving today, didn't have a chance to get a picture, but it was weird because I am close to the coast and they usually stay far inland

 

That's a great sighting mate. Where are you because there's no bears here in Scotland?

This morning was beyond delighted to get prolonged views of a male Goshawk om my local patch. Corvids and Gulls were going mental, so i scanned with my binocs and after a minute or two got great views of this superb handsome raptor.
Oh yesterday on the sea front i saw my first Gannet of the year, came in close much to the delight of my friend, she was delighted.
