Aye one being unavailable has too much a devastating effect for my liking, a massive drop off. One being there, makes up for the other not being there (CCV being vice-captain when we all thought Hart was the obvious choice) makes a lot of sense when you see that.

Add in Hatate all year, who was the other one last year who had that effect. We’ve been unlucky a lot, like very unlucky. But we should still cope better than we have, and feels like acknowledging that bad luck is excuses

No sure if we've had a game this season with all 4 of CCV, CalMac, Hatate and Kyogo starting together. Pretty much the core of the team :(

Really hope we can field our strongest squads for the games after the international break be such a boost to have them all back fit and firing and give us so much more options.

Of all the talk last season about ‘best since Larsson’

I’ll say without any doubt, CCV is the one guy that elevates the team around him to a completely different level and when he’s not there’s such an obvious difference in the others not being able to bridge the gap of him being missing since Henrik was here.

I always hated not having Broony available and we’d drop points more often when he wasn’t there, mentality was distinctly not as ruthless without him. But CCV not being there, is such an astounding drop in quality that we can’t cope without it.

Van Dijk being replaced by Efe Ambrose for a few weeks injury wasn’t anywhere near the same level of drop in overall quality in the performance than not having CCV. And it * should be, because Van Dijk to Ambrose is such a * gigantic difference, one much larger than Welsh to CCV imo that you’d think it’d be comparable. But it’s not. It’s when MON’s team had two great strikers up top in Sutton and Hartson, but there was a big gaping obvious desperately needed Larsson shaped hole. And thats the CCV shaped hole.

We need him fit for every league game now, he’s the difference between the title and £60m or runners up and handing them £60m, and allowing them to go up a level due to that cash.

Star Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers has swerved serious injury and is back in contention after missing the Scottish Cup win over Livingston.

The stand-in skipper sparked fears over that his troublesome hamstring injuries had returned but relieved Brendan Rodgers has revealed the scan has brought good news and the rock at the back will return to full training before the St Johnstone game

We will have a look at Cameron Carter Vickers, he should be fine, it was precaution. I spoke to Cam at length this morning, he just feels everything is based from around his knee operation. Also, when you have picked up a few injuries from that, you get that sensation and think it's linked to another injury. Thankfully, it doesn't seem to be that. We've had the scan which has come through fine, he's done some work with the medical team and hopefully he will rejoin the training squad on Thursday and Friday

We can't afford for him to be injured. Far too big of a loss.

Sounds great news that tbh. May just be panicking a bit with the knee operation. Glad the scan seems to be fine.

I am hoping we can get him through this season and then get him a full preseason under his belt and this injury hit season is a one off.

That's good news, much more confident with him in the defence.

Give him 60 mins against st Johnstone then he’ll get a couple weeks break over international break. Or will USA have him actually?

Aye, he shouldn't be anywhere near the international squad, play him Sat, sub him and tell US to do one.

That’s what we should do but we seem to always let our players * off when they’re just back from injury and it happens again. Deffo should give him 60 saturday then get him to pull a sicky

I’d be extremely tempted to keep him out for St Johnstone altogether and then ultimately the national side and give him an age to heal up and rest.

It is beyond crucial that he’s available for the midden.

Aye I'd keep him away and give him the international break as well

Maybe even hatate for that matter and have these guys back fully fit and healthy for the run in.

I'd settle for the league only right now with a hope to rebuild over the summer.
The cup would just be a nice bonus.

CCV - and Cal - are utterly vital. Wrap him up in cotton wool until after the break.

I’d normally say rest him for st Johnstone and make sure he’s fit for after the winter break but our defence is fragile as * without him and we’ve already been embarrassed by them once this season. It’s a rock and a hard place tbh, we should have more than enough to beat them regardless however we all seen how poor our defence is without him at the weekend so if he’s fit to play it would be hard to leave him out.

Yep keep him out and get a bounce game organised during the break to give him and Hatate a wee run out. Hate it that after the international break we only have Livi away before going to the * pit. Would be tempted to have Hatate and CCV on the bench and only let them play 20 mins on that awful pitch.

Starts Saturday if fit enough. We aren’t in a position to rest players just incase.

Tell you another mad thing, Greg Taylor is another one of those key guys we can’t afford to be missing added into them (and O’Riley)

We shouldn’t have that many guys that are pretty much indispensable because the drop off when they don’t play.

Last year I was so sure of our squad as a whole and coming in to cover key players, to this season being frantic as soon as you see a guy go down, praying they’re ok.
