Alexandro Bernabei is set to seal a loan move away from Celtic, according to a report.

The Argentine left-back has failed to make his mark at the Scottish champions after arriving as an Ange Postecoglou signing in the summer of 2022 and has started just two games in the league under Brendan Rodgers this season, both coming when first choice Greg Taylor was out injured.


Despite being the only cover for the Scotland international, the Hoops had made Bernabei available for transfer during the January transfer window but no move materialised. However with the Brazilian window still open at this point, it's claimed SC Internacional are looking to complete a loan until the end of their season.


The 23-year-old was a £3.5million signing from Lanus in his homeland but has never fully convinced as a Celtic player and could now move back to South America


Reports in Brazil suggest it will be an initial loan with an option to buy at the end of it and that he will be arriving in Porto Alegre in the coming days.

only one succesful player from south america i can think of is emilio pretty * record

think its so important the players from foreign shores need to speak the language or we do what we done with the japanese and korean players and buy a couple at least so they dont start to get sad and succumb to isolation problems, homesickness

 

He actually looked like he was improving each game while Taylor was injured but then got benched when he was half fit.

We can do far better and need to, hopefully means Frame is fit again.
