Ours I thought was soft but there was contact so it's at least conceivable why it was given. The other two were horrific.

Even if you call the two penalty decisions evening themselves out, us losing a player like Yang, who currently is our most dangerous player who we rely on to make things happen, was a hammer blow for us early doors. That alone changes the game in hearts' favour so no idea how anyone can claim it didn't make a difference.

Gutted but can’t blame the manager for today.

I thought Yang was a red card at the time but the more I see it, it looks very harsh as there was absolutely no force or malice in it.

Losing our main creative threat dented our chances of 3 points massively and then another bad decision goes against us.

Officials totally ruined that game today and made it impossible for us to win with their incompetence.

Naismith is a lying Hun *. Said after the game they deserved to win it overall. We were the better team even with 10 men playing against 12.

Huge unexpected opportunity missed to go back top.

Our penalty was harsh on Hearts. It was similar to the St Mirren penalty yesterday.

There was contact in both incidents and because of that they couldn't be clear and obvious errors. VAR can't get involved. Beaton was correct in not getting involved in that incident.

He also shouldn't have got involved in the next two decisions. A yellow card was given to Yang. It was not a clear and obvious mistake for VAR to jump in.

The handball decision was even worse. That should never have been a VAR request for a pen. He twice broke the rules that apply to VAR.

Both penalties and the red card were totally wrong, a simple glance would give you the answer. Cheating, maybe, but I’d say just sheer incompetence tbh.

Yeah you are absolutely right 10/4 I was over compensating for my perceived bias in light of the “even worse” penalty decision - watching it again at normal speed it was never a sending off
I also 100% agree with Rodgers the ref on the field got it spot on & then Beaton decided to ref the match and interfer from his VAR box
Awful day I haven’t felt as downhearted and gutted after a domestic match in many years - I don’t know if cup games next week is a blessing or not - couldn’t care less about the cup at the moment, wouldnt sacrafice 1 goal /gd for it!

Neil McCann saying the red card for Yang is "completely wrong" .

The penalty was another "calamitous decision" and a "totally wrong decision".

When everyone is calling out these decisions it is looking worse.

Maybe, just maybe not saying it and just bending over and taking it all the time is crazy, extremely crazy. Like I said previously you stated yourself about very few decisions going against them, when we have much more against us and the fact it’s penalty bingo with them all the time! Funny how it’s doesn’t happen in Europe with them…….

Did we * ourselves up today (outside of the penalty miss) or was it all down to the officials? Didn’t see the game.

For me this is all on the officials. Celtic were never given a chance to get into the game.

Yes Idah missed the penalty and that could’ve been an early boost, but there are 75 minutes or so left of football to play and the chance to win was robbed from us.

Yang had been rinsing Cochrane, so naturally first chance Beaton gets he sends the wee man off.

Then we were battling well enough and working our way into the game with 10, limiting Hearts and occasionally getting up the pitch and having the odd scare for the Hearts defence.

Next out Beaton’s box of tricks was a penalty to Hearts then to make it doubly difficult. And a penalty that, by the laws of the game, should never have been given. A penalty that Naismith and Shankland both admitted wasn’t one. And all from an official that’s happy for Goldson to play basketball.

We were absolutely robbed today. Totally robbed.

And by the way, if we score the penalty Beaton would’ve found a way to even if up. No doubt about it.

I’m * fuming with what I watched this afternoon. Not been as angry as that watching Celtic in a long time. And it’s all because of Beaton. And * Robertson too for being a wee shitebag

Thanks for the mate, great summation. I have no doubt in my mind that Beaton has cheated us on more than one occasion, and today is another one. That penalty against us is utterly farcical.

    not really. We played *.
Couldn’t control ball or pass ball. So many loose passes or players holding on to ball to long and getting robbed.
We still have enough to beat hearts with 10 men
We just diddnt turn up and made it easy for hearts today.
    Such poor performance from us.
    No heart in team.
Yang was stupid to give refs a decision to make. He saw player coming and still put foot up to stick ball. I would blame him as much as refs today.

I don’t think it’s a red but as you say Yang made it very easy for that cheating hun *.

Sounds like another poor performance by us again, * *.

I used to believe it was just incompetence but today's decisions from a well known hun official was blatant cheating and I reckon most of our fans think the same

I didn’t see the game, not going to watch it either, all I’ll say about Beaton is that someone who goes out drinking in sevco pubs after derby games shouldn’t be anywhere near our matches.

Thank * they lost yesterday,we move on play every game like a cup final, and * batter these * when we face them.We are still in this.
