That’s the nail on the head for me. Injuries * it for him for us, but he fought his way to fully fit enough to keep playing professionally after some horrendous injuries, several operations, and despite a lot of guys almost willing him to * up, he’s never hid when he’s stepped on the pitch for us.

He’s not making it here but I’d be * delighted if he leaves and makes the most of his ability after the start he had for his career, mentality is unreal for that.

Plus if it was me, shifting him this summer, I’d say a smaller fee a million or two and a large sell on fee. Because he absolutely has it in him to go down there and run * riot. And players in the Championship who can be the difference between getting to the Premiership or not, they go for big money.

So he's not due another for another 5 years?

TBH I'm glad he's doing well in that farmer's league.

I really hope someone massively over pays for him.

5 year extension, promising young player at 31 :56:

5 years ago he had the potential to be incredible, but injuries have * that, but he can still carve out a very decent career. Just not here. Down south and for Ireland though.

Do you not think we can fetch a fee if he keeps up what he’s doing down there? He’s been such an impact for West Brom, and they’ve been raving about bringing in quality ‘hopefully can get him on the cheap’.

Got to be the reason we got him a move to the English market rather than back to Portugal or that, it’s to get a fee for him.

No purely because it runs the risk of being a stumbling block resulting him getting a 109876567th last chance in pre season

    Full scale Ntcham the boy.

Personally I’d judge to see the money willing to be paid, knock a quite a bit off it and say 30% sell on fee.

Man City style with us and Frimpong, think we had bid £2m and they said £300k and 30%. Worked out for them that.

I think it’s a decent gamble we could get more from his move after he leaves than we could get leaving us.

He won’t be back though mate, he’s said himself Rodgers wanted him there for rest of the season, and he said it’s the right time to go elsewhere.

The guy isn’t deaf, he’ll be * tired of dealing with getting torrents of * aimed at him when he’s trying the best he can.

Not his fault we needed to play him as much as we have this year, thats a lot of peoples faults before we should raging at him.

Grand old team to play for
He's coming back in the summer. Will have a solid preseason, and by the end of October will have established himself as one of our most important wingers. Not necessarily starting every game, but staring plenty and coming on as a sub in the others. By the winter most on here will be praying he signs a new deal, but after hitting over 15 goal contributions (combined goals + assists stats), there will be a few on here saying he's * and we should punt for anything we can get.

He’ll probably start pre-season with us in the summer but he’ll be punted before the end of the window. A lot of people are ignoring that Rodgers wanted him to stay, not enough to block what he wanted but he wanted him as an option, and Mikey Johnston decided he needed to move and it was time.

And looking at his start down there and how he appears to be confident and thriving he has absolutely made the right decision, not just for himself but for us. Because his fee from end of January, to start of March? Probably doubled at least with just this wee patch of form, and a couple eye catching goals.

Johnston wishes he had half the ability or impact at Celtic that Ntcham had.

And yet we made sure to get Ntcham far away as possible from training and released him from his contract, not caring about a fee at all for a talented player we could have got something for still. But thought it was a better option to just get him to *.

Or Ange did. He met him once and got him far, far away.

Ntcham might be one of the only players I am monumentally angry with, because the only reason he wasn’t far and away best in our team, was because he couldn’t be arsed with it.

Similar situation at Swansea, his first 6 months for them they thought they had a world class player on their hands. Fast forward a bit, he’s refusing to go to training and making sure he’s getting a move away, and a bench player.

The guy had everything you need in a modern footballer as well, strong fast a football brain vision ability and that off the cuff cockiness to do just something different and unexpected. What he could have been if he had the mentality. Him and Tony Watt are that for me. They had so much, decided nah * that instead.

You’re projecting here. Ntcham wanted to move on too. He’s very underrated by our support given his contributions.

Ntcham had said shortly before he went he wanted to stay another year, and then we let him go. If he just wanted away, we’d have sold him. Instead we ripped up the contract and said go away mate.

Surely he was worth money to us with a year left, like you’ve said, he had the ability. I know how good he was at times and the impact he made mate, that’s why annoys me so much. He could have been right up there with some of the best I’ve seen at us. He could have been mentioned next to Wanyama and Van Dijk, if he had the mindset and drive. When we knocked back £14m from Porto I said good, next year that’ll be £30m and was sure about that. His ceiling for where he could have reached was ridiculous. Do you think his career has went the way his ability deserves, if he made sure to make the most of that ability?

It’s the ones that can be exceptional, and have the talent but for whatever reason they decide not to bother that I hate, more than guys not good enough. Select crowd of players there, Riordan, Watt, Ntcham. Griffiths I’d add in, even Stokes.

No, he left because his contract expired.

He had a year left or we had a year option to extend. Although, I will concede that cos I can’t find anything backing that up.

do you think he’s done everything to achieve his potential? At us or elsewhere?

At Swansea it was similar to us but shorter, absolutely excellent then lost interest then * off. Forced a move with them though. Weird thing is though, he’s definitely a fan of us now, he wears celtic stuff all the time, talks about us still. I just think he loses interest and is quite lazy, he reminds a bit of Ndombele
