Good on him. Keeps this up he'll be playing EPL next year.

Credit to him he's done the right things recently - going to Portugal and now the Championship - earning his way to a career.

 

I think he is a confidence player and there is such a negative reaction to him at times from the crowd that you can see him shrink. He had a wee chance to stake a claim here but didn't take it and hopefully he can do well elsewhere.

 

Was getting played mostly on the right aswell for us and he’s much better on the left. Played there in portugal and for Ireland and now for West Brom. Think he’ll be sold in summer but glad he’s doing well and hopefully injuries behind him now

 

Hopefully get a decent fee for him.

 

Don’t think it’s ever going to work for him here regardless. Hopefully continues to do well and we can get a few million for him

 

The way our fans are with him is something I’ve never seen, there’s * sheer hatred at him at its worst and at best just zero support and ready to get on his back. I’ve never seen any other player get that sort of reaction from the crowd, Paul Telfer probably the closest who got it stinking because he wasn’t Agathe.

Guy was a workhorse and apparently the nicest * in the world anaw, I felt bad for him as well.

 

Totally agree. There is no doubt an element of support at matches that just didn't want him on the park. I've seen it with other players, but agree, with MJ as bad as it gets. Absolute shame as well. Clearly loves the club and always desperate to do well. Where some fans are happy for players to get a run of games, MJ wasn't one of them. Wish him all the best.

 

Dunno why everyone is wishing him well elsewhere, I for one hope he keeps this up and comes back and replicates it for us

 

I didn't expect a replacement as good as Jota but the money could have been used to bolster other areas this making the team as a whole better.

 

If they get promoted we should be looking for £5m if he keeps this form up.

For his sake I hope not. As others have said he gets an odd reaction from a lot of our fans and I also think he struggles playing for us now because of that. Which is a real shame as he's a true fan from what I can tell and we can never have enough of those playing for us if it can work.

Just great to see him doing well and hopefully setting up his career even if I don't think it will be with us. Hope he keeps it going.

 

People seem to think he's turned into a world beater. His style of play is no good for us and clearly where he is now suits him.

Please nobody start calling him for him to get another chance.

There’s usually an element of it, and I usually think it’s through youth thats came through, Forrest always got it, Welsh gets it, Ralston got tore to shreds and put down as having zero ability despite previous showings where that was blatantly wrong, * there’s some lurkers waiting for the slight window they have to say always said they didn’t rate him when Calmac has a couple bad days. The last example they find it hard because how rare that is anaw


but with MJ, it’s venom, hatred, and out of order abuse. Some of the most reasonable level headed guys on here label words like coward at him. It’s mad.

There is 100% people hating that he’s showing he isn’t useless in this loan spell. Far from useless.
