I hope Iwata stays fit until he returns, as we've missed some mobility in the mf.

Good news on Hatate, maybe back before the international break.. it's just unfortunate the game before the Huns is Livi away, so he probably won't be risked there..

He does seem to take a while to get up to speed, after injury a bit like Rogic..

Reo Hatate, is he going to be after the international break? Is he still looking to get back on the pitch?

Hopefully, it will be before that in terms of being with the squad, but he may not be available to play until after it. He’s working really well, and we’ll be happy when he is back

When’s the break btw? Is it going to be just as we build up a bit of steam and could be doing with games just thrown our way rapid fire to keep it up, because I feel every time we’ve built up that wee bit this year there’s been a break for Internationals or winter break or Asian Cup and stuff.

It’s stuff that everyone needs to deal with so not any sort of excuse for some of the stuff we’ve been served up this year but between injuries, breaks, International Cup competitions and even an Apartheid Genocide in there… been * unlucky with * all year man :56:

Very unlikely you see a reliable player here for the remainder of the season. Don’t think we can count on him for the league run in unfortunately.

Hearts Away, Livi Home (Cup), St. Johnstone Home , then break.

Livi Away then Huns away, St Mirren Home..then split.

Had this thought the other day there. He wasn't exactly consistent even before his injuries this season, and has a lot of work to do to get back properly fit. Folk will need to temper expectations a bit.

Hahaha aye, that sounds about right. Got the same vibe as end of December then the winter break. It clicked for what, 6 games or so? Including the Scum in that run. Then a break, then all momentum * off.

look to be getting the wind behind our back here, not just the goals and scudding of Dundee the style has been relentless for 120 minutes and if we keep that up Tynecastle, then we’ll be on that sorta run. Then we’ll have a break. We better * cope with that this time, if it works that way. We haven’t yet this year

He can absolutely come off the bench and have an effect for a half hour, 20 minutes. We’re in the perfect position with him coming back, an absolute quality player, one of the best in the league, but we have options infront of him that we’d probably not drop him fully fit. Or more likely, we’d drop Iwata again, and I am adamant Iwata is key and absolutely needed for the rest of this season. So we have the option of bringing him on, getting everything out of him for that short time on the pitch, and he’ll be gunning for a start when he’s on. And that’s perfect for a run in.

Think there's folk expecting him to get flung straight in first opportunity and start smashing teams apart. Ain't goanny be like that I don't think.

Don’t think that’ll happen even if he was 100% fit after only being out a short period. He’s the one sheer quality player, well infact Kyogo as well now due to Idah, we can have on the bench with a player deserving to be on the pitch instead but can be sure bringing them on you’re replacing with just as good, arguably better, and they need to prove that they are better and good enough to start.

We have desperately missed that. Our bench on Wednesday is the first time I’ve looked at it all season and thought *, that’s a dangerous bench we’ve got options there. And that was mostly Bernardo, Kyogo and Palma. With a sprinkle of Ralston and Welsh trustworthy options I like. Then Kelly was the man, I thought the curveball would be Vata if anyone.

Also, Kuhn was there, I don’t know what that means yet though haha

When he's on it aye, no question. But he looked bang average at times earlier in the season to the point I was looking to punt him in Jan. Obviously an overreaction but my point is we don't know if he's gonna be anywhere near the level we know he can play it, in fact I'd wager he won't be.

Hopefully he can show up well of course but wouldn't be relying on it.

What happened to the happy go lucky, optimistic @Double Dutch who'd see the positives of anything, sometimes bizarrely so? When they broke you they broke you good!

@Liam Scales is right - even if we don't get full games out of him, him coming on for 20 - 30 mins to see out the game, or change things up will be an excellent option. Think of him as this years Mooy :50:

Big fan of giving new signings plenty time to settle in and find their feet, boys like Yang for example who the majority called */hopeless/a dud and is now starting to build confidence and show his undoubted talent. He's the epitome of why I have a tendency to hold off on jumping in with negatives.

Hatate to me seems a moody *, aloof and a bit selfish. Remember thinking earlier this season he believed his own hype and wasn't giving his all when he didn't get his EPL move.

Obviously that's just a personal opinion, but his performances spoke for themselves. Has a ways to go to justify the credit he's being given by a lot of folk, not through lack of talent just purely how committed he is to winning us the league.

It's probably too late in the season for him to make any real impact.

There’s plenty of time for him to make a real impact. 2 derbies for starters.

Loathe to even yearn for his return because he wasn’t in the team under Rodgers to begin with. Has work to do on certain aspects of his game to be a Rodgers CM.

However, he has enough Glasgow Derby moments already to hope he’s at the very least fit enough for the bench come Ibrokes.

Desperate for one of the best midfielders in Scotland to be back in the team tbh. Midfield misses his ingenuity.
