He's been off past few games, he was alright tonight but * me he cannot and I repeat cannot let a ball bounce as he goes to pot everytime.

Had 3 poor moments, two passes around the middle of the park he put nowhere near anyone and out for throw ins and then that mess near the end he let a ball bounce and nearly made a * of it. Think one other time also he just booted a ball up into the air.

Even though he is quite steady and rarely troubled he is the weakest player in the team the now.

A bouncing ball is his kryotonite.

Get Nawrocki in beside Ccv and see if we can build a partnership for next season

Personally I'd cash in on his run in the team in the summer if some championship club offered the right fee. A bit like palma for me, shouldn't be starting in a full strength Celtic team

Was definitely our poorest player last night. He has done a great job stepping in when we badly needed cover but we 100% need another decent centre back in the summer to partner CCV.

Big McKenna would probably have been an ideal partner as well for the run in.

Both are obviously poorer options though? Also I don't think either would suit being on the left. Welsh is maybe the next best option on the left. Kyoboshia being the other one, but he's never coming back.

Scales may have his faults but is by far our best option as the left-sided CB.

rest of the season obvious weak links usually been labelled at GT, playing too good and Berny’s too fresh in the memory for it to be him. AJ’s came back on fire, who was getting that tag earlier this year at points when Taylor played well in a game, Hart’s now on form who was the obvious weak link start of the season. So Scales is now it.

We always need to label somecunt the obvious weak link needing improved. Starfelt was also that under Ange, when it wasn’t Taylor. Taylor sometimes ups his level to such a degree it’s too hard to stick to accusing him of it. Must frustrate somecunts no end :56:

Lets just get AJ, CCV, Scales and Taylor playing 5/6/7 games together. End of the year onto the run in, and we’ve finally got a chance to try and make a consistent back 4 this year. That’s mental when you think of it

Swap AJ for Ralston and I'm with you. Other than the last game never really seen what others do in Johnston, far too * meak getting forwards for me, plus lost his confidence this season. If he sticks to what he did at the weekend fair enough, but if not Ralstons ability to get forward is what I want to see.

I was saying the same thing when he was available for the Motherwell game, but the way AJ’s came back is on fire and with a * attitude and leadership that we’ve been crying out for.

And the type of steel and end product I wanted Ralston ahead of him for, he’s done that more. Last 2 games he’s set up 3 goals and should have 4 if Maeda could finish easy chances, that chance against Motherwell he missed and then his goal against Dundee man :56:

He’s been out and away from the slog and looks like he’s taken a look at what he needs to do, and came back with absolute fire in him to make sure. This is the AJ we expect to see, and that AJ is ahead of Ralston as much as I love oor Tony.

Not disagree too much, other than first half of Motherwell game Johnston was as poor as he's been, don't think that mask helped him But from there think he's been as good as he has been, probalby last night is his best performance for me. Cross for the goal was sublime.

I do think he's a confidence player, think he lost it completely this seaon for whatever reson, so don't see the leadership thing, as don't think thats in him, but maybe missing something.

But for me, to keep Ralston out of the team he needs to keep getting assists. If not, then rotate please.

I think he's had an excellent season over-all, but his form has fell off a cliff last few months (alongside everyone else I suppose)

Was our worst player against Motherwell and Dundee despite the good performances. Nawrocki got injured at the absolute worst time, but it might be worth giving Lagerbielke proper game time at home to Livingston and St Johnstone.

The interview bout the mask and taking it off I have a semi about to be fair,:56:

AJ’s been setting up chances like * since he’s came back now, Idah’s a big part of that having a target there but we’ve also started getting more than 1 guy in the box, we’ve been attacking front middle and back. Sometimes fitba’s simple, guys in the box and try and hit them with the ball and you get goals. I hope to * we keep up these tactics, because we’ve tweaked it successfully a couple of games in a row more than once this season then reverted to the slow boring no movement *.

But it feels like its clicked finally. And CCV being back, having a proper DM feels crucial to that. CCV more than anything we need fit till end of the season, desperately

Last few months? January we barely played and before the break he was excellent, his performance in the derby was sensational. We’ve had 8 games since then, don’t think he done * all wrong against Buckie, maybe a couple games after that a wee wobble from him but off a cliff for months? No chance.

Looking at Nawrocki against Aberdeen I get why he’s been largely ignored as an option, Lagerbielke is apparently raging with us looking to punt him all January and then denying him a move cos CCV got injured again, * trusting that as an option, especially because he already didn’t look good enough.

Surely if you’re wanting to drop Scales, Welsh has shown himself to be the best option there? For me CCV, Scales and then Welsh are so far ahead of the rest of the options there it’s unreal. £7m/£8m of CB’s that are * useless.

Nawrocki could bring it back and prove himself, he’s shown something, but he’s also shown he can be * terrifying to have at the back. So not the time to throw in guys like that, injury rules him out but he’d not be an option regardless for BR, and I agree with that

Agreed. He's also stopped recently being flat to the CBs too much of the time. For a long time to me he was a 3rd CB not an actual RB and it did my nut in. That's definitely changed the last 2 games.

Think he’s looked lost a large part of the season AJ, he’s been CB after CB next to him, and he’s almost tried to babysit at times but it’s made him indecisive and poor on his own game and style. I was screaming for Ralston but last two games AJ’s been what we know he can be. And that AJ is one of our best options.

BR putting Tony Lb while more trustworthy than Bernabei btw, it’s * hanging him out to dry that. He’ll put in the shift, but he’s never a LB, ever.

and he’ll get slated as * off certain quarters in the support, after they’ve watched a very right footed RB play LB.

Just think Johnston lost his confidence and it * him. He's definetly a confidence player. Which to me is a bit of a worry. Got it back the last 2 games but could lose it as easy next game.

Aye, Ralstons never going to cross it in from the touchline on the left. Although typing this I have a memory of him doing it for Scotland.

Actually think the last 2 time he's been brought on at LB has been fine - been quite attacking - mostly because he hasn't figured how to pass it back on the left. But definitley not a replacement for the full 90 mins, but we do need to protect GT.

He did for Scotland, he had like 15 minutes coming on at LB, when he was in his top form and he just went for it.

you see that with him even at RB, when he’s not built up a wee bit of steam/form behind him he gets very careful, when he has that behind him he just does the risky pass or cross and pulls it off. With the Scotland one, he just used his left rather than try and make sure of making sure he gets it on his strong foot to make the best cross. It’s natural that.

See the games he came in there? He was hesitant and double checking his cross, after he settled a bit, he’d do * like the assist for Kyogo against Killie.

Playing him LB just now you can trust he’ll go for every tackle fight for every ball, but it will make him far more nervy on the ball. And can be detrimental if he needs to come back in on the right. Like we’ve said with Scales, it’s same with Ralston, people at one point decided they’re no good. And will wait for years or game after game of good performances to wait to say ‘ive always said hes *’

*, seen some * do it to Calmac last couple of weeks, and that’s them waiting 200 odd games for him to say they’ve always said it bout him :56:

Ralston thrived when he had multiple attacking options - him, O'Riley and Abada playing it quick and attacking up the wing with the fewest, quickest passes to get it forward, or where he was picking it up deep and sending it for Madea or Abada to take it on, or even straight from front to back for Kyogo, or doing an overlap to get it to the line and fire it across for Giakomakas or Kyogo. Loved all of that plus when he got a chance to challenge in the box for a corner or freekick.

Agree he has been more hesitant this season and last. Would love to see a bit of that variety again. Maybe being asked to play LB occassionaly will make him commit more to what he is doing.
