Defo got alot of positives in his game for only 17 aswell he looked far more complete a player at that age than anyone in many years from Scotland from what i remember. Still along way to go but one I'd be happy with if he's brought in and given the time to develop and not wasted.

It’s not just ability alone off of him, he plays like he has 200/300 games under his belt. Positionally he’s excellent, knowing the pass to make he’s excellent, knows when to up the pace of the game or slow it down.

That alone, and coupled with ability shown, we must get him. Player his age, not seen anything like it up here since McCarthy at Hamilton, I think he’s better than him back then though. And McCarthy at his peak was very good

He's a must sign tbh. It's as simple as that.

We must buy him, waste his talent and sell him to Birmingham in 5 years.

Or… have the fans write him off, make him captain for 11/12 years, couple PotY’s and top 10 appearances ever.

I’ve not been excited about a player from another SPFL team since Broony, different players. McGinn was close, as was McCarthy but this boys got something different about him. He’s * quality.

Player I’d probably compare him to most is Billy Gilmour tbh, who even if he’d want to go to us, and we wanted him, is severely out our price range. This boys not just now, and we need to try to get him right now for the window opening.

Because Serie A teams will be sniffing about guaranteed

I was getting my hopes up we would make sure of this until you pointed out that we’d need to learn our lessons for that to happen.

    We’re pretty * at learning lessons:56:

Usually when we have a * show of a year transfer wise, the following year we make sure to do the opposite. Then we get lazy following year after that again.

Genuinely don't understand why we wouldn't pick up the phone and call Motherwell at 9am tomorrow.

That’s the wee bit extra that should drive the point home that we need to, because it’s everything else about the boys game the simple not flashy * that’s so impressive from what I’ve seen. He plays like a guy with 200/300 games of experience behind him. He’s just an absolute natural footballer, understanding positioning from the get go.

    At 17 that’s * unreal.

Been talked about and getting rave reviews for a while now.

Thought we should have went for him in January and loaned him back to motherwell for 6/18 months.

Missed out on too many of these good young Scottish players recently. Could be wrong but think Turnbull may have been last player we signed from an spfl club and that's going back 4 years

Think we may have already missed the boat..

Should have signed him in Jan and loaned him straight back..

If we'd had offered 3m, with a 15% profit sell on clause and a loan back for 18 months, with recall options in summer 24 and January 25, they'd have bitten our * hand off.

Keep in mind, we can still offer that today, with the loan deal being reduced to 12 months being active from the summer.

It's * ridiculous because we've probably missed the boat even though he's right under our nose.

We've seen this play out too many times. Then we look at Salzburg, Leipzig, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan et al and think how have they got a conveyor belt of talent coming through?

It's because they hoover up the best young talent in a 300 mile radius.

Lennon Miller is under 15 miles down the road.

I have no idea what we're doing.

There will be teams in England willing to snap him up and pay him a fortune in wages

Don’t try and short change them, just pay what it takes and get the boy signed up. Loan him back to them for next season and add in a sell on %.

Of course that’s what a competent board would do, ours on the other hand will try and penny pinch, eventually * then off enough that they’ll sell to England and he’ll go on to be a star.

The lack of homegrown talent to register in Europe next season with turnbull and more than likely Mikey and Forrest not being here surely has to drive this on even more.

Yeh, we are due one of those windows where everyone forgets how useless the board is for the next couple of windows, then the cycle continues.

Lennon Miller agreed before the window even opens would be an excellent start to that.

I think you’re right, there’ll be lots of EPL teams sniffing around.. but none that will offer first team football, which he’ll be expecting after being a first team player for Motherwell for over a season.

We can offer it. My biggest worry isn’t clubs down south going for him, it’ll be clubs from leagues like ours, or maybe even from Italy offering him a pathway.

We should be paying whatever Motherwell want (£4m?) and he can replace O’Riley when he inevitably leaves in Summer, because he already is a very capable player who can contribute to our squad.
