If he hasn’t had a testimonial he should have a joint one with CalMac as between them they have won 43 trophies and also currently have 933 Celtic appearances between them which works out approximately 1 trophy every 22 matches

 

He had a testimonial literally earlier this season mate, v Ath Bilbao.

Seeing that he may end up retiring at Parkhead, would love to see him do that. Still think he can make an impact on games, picked and chosen carefully.

Interesting comments from Rodgers. Saying Jamesey is probably the best winger in the squad in terms of ability. But he doesn't have the intensity and running for the way we want to play.

 

Just another poor example of poor forward planning by the board then. Sure Forrest probably deserved a bit of a golden send off contract for his contribution over the years but 5 years in insane. 2 years on with a very healthy wage would have been an adequate thanks. It's even worse when you consider he didn't get a regular game under Ange, let alone any potential new incoming managers

Tells them all none are as good as Forrest while simultaneously telling Forrest he's too old and can't run.

If your Forrest you must be scratching ur head looking to see where this "constant running and intensity" is from the other wingers.

Seemed honest to me and was complimentary to Jamesy whilst giving a rationale for leaving him out..

That’s weird, I think he’s good enough to get the ball, turn back and pass it to the defenders.

 

He's not tactically astute enough. Gets caught out too often attempting to score or link up with the strikers. Just doesn't fit into our system.

 

Memory tells me it was a 5 year deal but honestly no point banking on my memory

Judging by our performances this season under Rodgers, I think that's exactly what he understands under best ability.
