These 5 year deals need to stop. Surely we can offer 3 year deals with an optional 1 or 2 year extension for the club.

Armstrong from Kilmarnock would have been a better signing and only 2 years older than Kuhn.

If he was 21/22 fair enough, but at 24 there doesn't look much room for improvement. So weak mentally and physically. The rebirth of Maryan Shved.

Idah played him in brilliantly at the weekend and he was escorted away like a wee boy. A decent player would have made more of that passage of play.

Rodgers said yesterday that what we told them to do in second half was to play short passes A lot quicker … sounds like players are just not taking instruction on

In the likes of Chelsea’s case it is, in ours it’s just because we believed he’s a player. There was no net spend in the window and realistically we’ve got best part of 100 million in liquid cash in various places.

Club better hope he just needs time to settle because that’s looking like a nonsense assessment thus far.

I think you'd struggle with a 3 year plus extension but 4 plus extension should be reasonable.

Yeah if you just want a squad player, which is essentially what Kuhn is, then take a risk on a Scottish player. At least they won't take up a squad place in Europe for foreign players.

Let's look at wingers we've signed in recent years, none homegrown so european spots a struggle.
    • Jota- £7m
    • Abada- £3.5m
    • Maeda- £1.6m
    • Haksabanovic £1.7m
    • Tilio £1.5m
    • Yang £2.1m
    • Palma £3.5m
    • Kuhn £3m
£23.9m on wingers, only 4 of them have really been a success and 1 had left and another of those will be off at the end of the season. Out of the remaining, one is on loan and the club obviously want shift, leaving Yang, Kuhn and Tilio. That's pretty grim reading. Yang is the only one of those 3 to show a bit of hope. The club now won't stump up for a new winger in the summer even if Abada and Johnston go. We'd have been better off keeping Johnston til the summer and waiting and buying then.

Hasabankovic should never have left. He was in our top 3 technical players last season. With proper coaching he could be a top player, only 24. Far better than Kuhn - wouldnt get a game for brechin

Similar players for me, Haksa maybe had a bit more about him mentally than we’ve seen from Kuhn thus far. However at this point neither look good enough.

I’m far from pining for Haksa but he’s miles better than Kuhn on current evidence. * him anyway, glad he’s not here

To be fair to him, he's picked up 50 goals and 50 assists across 250 games and 33 caps at international level. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go on to be a good player. He clearly has mentality issues though.

I don't think Kuhn is anywhere near his technical ability.

He's another example of the failings in our recruitment process. I watch a weekly podcast where they could have told you that Lagerbielke would be too slow & Kuhn wasn't what we needed before the guys were in the building. They had all the data analysis and were able to come to those conclusions. Why are Celtic fans in their own time able to know these things but we are * millions up against a wall before we find it out.

As aside they also said there's a strong likelihood Spittal would score from distance. He hits the most shots of any player in the league from that distance and Hart has the worst lateral movement in the league. Yet we let him stand on the edge of our box unmarked.

Like Johnstone, he was given plenty of chances. He was at big clubs before us and there are reasons why it didnt work out for him. He wasnt good enough to start for us.

He will barely kick a ball for us the rest of the season, injuries and suspensions aside. Away on loan in the summer and he'll probably do * and we will end up terminating his contract like ajeti. At least ajeti * tried

What strikes me about Kuhn as opposed to Yang(who also looked ropey when he first arrived) is that Yang at least looked as though he wanted to be here and make the most of his chance whereas Kuhn gives the impression he'd rather be doing anything else other than playing football for us. His body language gives the vibe of a person being made to do community service.

Giving benefit of doubt to Kuhn a bit, there are very few players who look good this season, especially our wide players. Had we never seen seen Maeda, Abada or Kyogo before this season we would have assumed they were useless. Yang and Palma have been inconsistent, Johnston and Turnbull have been shown the door. Just doesn't feel like players are clicking. Coming into a team like that much be very challenging.

I like to give players a decent number of games before I judge them. Having said that, there’s not much I’ve seen so far, that would encourage me to think he’s not just another waste of a lot of money.
