First half? He won the ball back a couple of times but he did absolutely nothing with it. I don't remember him having a shot and his only cross was shanked behind.

That cannot be pass marks for a winger at Celtic.

Who else was busting a gut to win the ball back?

23 goals and 15 assists in 97 games for a guy who’s overall contribution could never be measured in end product stats is more than enough.

What goes through his head when he’s attempting crosses and smashes them into row z? That one today it looked harder to do that than just cross it in. The miss too, he’s the only player that could miss that.

Surely a team back in Japan will take him at end of season. Even if we make a loss.

Im at the point where i can’t wait till he’s sold as i’m fed up moaning about the fella. He works his bollox off but you need more than that to be a Celtic player, well you should anyway.

23 goals in 97 games for a Celtic winger is a dreadful return. He should have 35+.

He must be the most protected player in history he absolutely has a place in the squad and has his uses in certain games but * me he's an awful footballer technically

He has a better end product statistically than James Forrest who is, rightfully, a Celtic legend. Much, much, better than McGeady who was a record sale from our Academy.

I could ramble on with comparisons forever but his return is decent whilst set against the context of what else he brings to the table that the others don’t.

He does have real admirable attributes and he'll be one of the first names on the teamsheet at Ibrox.

Let's, face if he had and end product he wouldn't be playing here.

Even those poor stats are skewed because he had a decent first season. Difference is McGeady & Forrest could actually skin a man and consistently created big chances, not skew the ball into Motherwell train station.

You think 3 goals in 22 matches is acceptable? How can someone of such laughably limited ability even be defended?

Doesn’t really matter who they can beat if it doesn’t result in goals or assists, does it? You can’t argue with the numbers, he has more end product statistically than both those players.

I genuinely believe how furiously frustrated folk get at him when he * a cross into the stand has made some fans live in some alternate reality where his contribution is ignored as a result. His work rate, desire, stamina and movement are all unique - there’s almost no other player providing his team mates the level of all of those that he does.

His work rate, desire, stamina and movement that has opposition players ignoring the * knowing he'll just run right into them giving away a free kick.

I don't doubt the contributions he made under Ange, or deny the fact he's had some really good games this season.

But the fact is 19 of those goals and 12 of the assists came in his first 70 games. This season he has 4 goals and 3 assists in 26 games and hasn't registered an assist since October. 14 games since our seemingly indispensable winger made an assist. How is that okay?

It reminds me when Scott Sinclair was * for months and people harked back to his first 2 season stats as justification. Maeda is chronic at the moment. It's not good enough.

He's never been blessed with amazing technique , you can quite clearly see the quagmire of the pitches we are playing on currently (ours included) is playing a huge factor in how pish he's been.

What’s the difference, stats wise, with Kyogo in that instance?

Kyogo has 13 goals and 3 assists in 36. Which also isn't good enough this season. He's scored the winner in both Derbies though so atleast there is that. He's having a poor season overall and will, quite rightly, be dropped on Wednesday, you'd imagine.

Someome had some stats up the other day and he had created 9 chances this season... 9 * chances in 26 games for a winger.

    He's a * dud

His defensive stats are better than O’Riley and McGregor. He has almost double the ground duels McGregor has per 90.

He’s picking up their slack, while the midfield has been creating more.

Football is far more than simply wingers creating and strikers scoring. At least look at the entire picture.

Stop sticking up for him Daizen MacEwan. You’re not allowed an opinion, folk that don’t like him are the only ones allowed to do that :34:
