You don't know if it was sexist or not. Only Rodgers knows that. Why choose the least charitable interpretation of this comment?

The good girl was meant to be patronising akin to when Ange calls someone ‘mate’

It’s designed to close down the conversation which is what it deserved.

There are a lot of things to criticise Rodgers over currently.

A comment during an interview where the reporter was trying to fully focus on the negatives shouldn't be one of them.

I was sat listening to the radio, quite happy. Rodgers started with his thing about "narratives" and it got quite feisty which made me smirk, pretty amusing post match interview. Then he hits out with that patronising * and I was a bit taken aback. I knew Rodgers was many things but I just thought he had a bit more class than that.

What I dislike about the "snowflake" merchants is the complete inability to discuss nuance. "Oh you didn't like that? You're a snowflake, * off" - it's just mind-rot 'cultural war' BS. Am I a "woke lefty" because I don't want the manager of our club making cheap, patronising and sexist potshots on the radio? Eesh.

If your wee sister told you that at her work some arrogant, up-their-own-* * said "good girl" to her at the end of a disagreement, you'd want to tell him where to shove it. Or in your case maybe you'd call your sister a woke liberal.

That type of comment isn't acceptable. Rodgers should be better than that.

It feels like journalist are trying to drag us down with negativity. They are lining up to focus on the negatives.

Remember when Ange came in the journalists were all desperate to have a go at him, but he left them looking stupid?

Why does it feel like the journalists give our managers a tough time, but they give Rangers managers an easy time? Beale got an easy ride when he embarrassed himself regularly. Clement has come across as a right * a few times, he has been booked numerous times and sent off during a friendly for his conduct, but doesn't get called out.

Hold on a second, nuance? You are the one who has gone in with both feet making the assumption that you know that Rodgers meant that in a sexist way without considering context, his typical speech patterns, the likely intended meaning, etc.

I don't read the papers and haven't done for about 20 years now. But I sometimes see the headlines in the rags on the back page and I have yet to see someone bigging us up or knocking the huns. It's always been that way... let them write * about us and let's prove them all wrong at the end of the season. This team ,celtic ,are bigger than any of them writing * about us. Maybe that's the way they want us to go, crumble ..fall out ..divisions in the team. * them we are better.than that

His tactics have been questionable recently, the team hasn't been playing well that's down to the manager to ensure we have the right team picked for the right.match. I'm always positive on here and will back the team to the hilt forever but I don't think he has us playing our best football the now. If he goes end of season I be happy. When we win the league and he still here I will be a lil disappointed but I will support the team through thick and thin.

Listen to the interview, it's * obvious.

It's also 2024. Casual sexism just isn't cool anymore, no amount of GB News-esque protestations of "snowflake" is going to change that.

I'm actually not much of a crusader for feminism or social equality - my point was that this is the Celtic manager. He managed to go his previous 2-and-a-half year stint without saying anything that could be accused as misogynistic. He's went and done exactly that today because he's lost the heid. Anyone lapping up his siege mentality drum-smacking, I've got some beans to sell you

I know. I just mentioned that he says ‘good man’ a lot at the end of a lot of interviews and he went two feet on me too.

I don’t even approve of what he said even if it’s by accident, but the * hysteria from someone mentioning nuance is unreal.
