O’Riley has been player of the year. Been poor since January, but overall, he has been streets ahead of anyone in the team.

 

Absolute nonsense!!!! He hasn’t kicked a ball for 2 months but he’s POTY!!! Get a grip mate, that’s an outrageous comment. 2 months…..

 

He needs to get back on the phone to his Indian guy.

 

He has been poor since January 27th. He has been miles better than McGregor this season. Miles better than anyone else in our team this season in fact.

 

Move him up and play Iwata. Quite simple really

 

I really like him and think he’s shown he’s a very good option for us to have and a guy we can trust to do a job that others aren’t as natural at doing as him. I really like Iwata. But he’s not been available enough to get that sort of accolades. He’s done brilliant to useful and trustworthy from the times we’ve seen him this year.

But he’s not been available to show that week in and out.

And there’s so many that the same statement applies to for us this year, rather than just bad luck, I’m thinking more bad management instead. The injuries, and re-occuring of those injuries as soon as a players deemed available, feels like bad management. Not giving the time to get over it and they keep re-occurring and getting worse. Happened with CCV, Iwata, Welsh consistently off top of my head.

That’s a different topic though, I think he could be that consistent excellent, natural DM option. He’s had like 6/7 games instead through not being available.

Saying that, I’m also not 100% sure some of that wasn’t a managers decision that he’s blamed on being injured in hindsight and when he’s not trusted him, because there’s been inconsistency in when he’s talked about unavailable players, and when he’s mentioned Iwata.

 

Bar that one pass to Kyogo, he was poor again.

 

Poor again.

I’d like to see a midfield of Iwata, Bernardo and MOR.

 

If anyone requires dropping it's ORiley.

 

Much better when dropped back into the 6, funnily enough.

When hatate is back it's gonna be hard to justify his inclusion. His legs look like they are gone

Calmac best games have been against the scum where he has been brilliant, the worrying thing has been games against other SPL teams where his very high standards seem to have dropped compared to the very high standards he has set in previous seasons.
What has changed this season?

 

O'Riley has been better than McGregor all season. Fallen off it since January but there's no way McGregor is playing better or contributing more to the team on the park than O'Riley.

I don't understand how anyone can come to that conclusion tbh

 

Think he’s had a poor season overall. Not just by his high standards, just generally poor.

Same could be said for 90% of the squad mind.

 

First half he was shie. Been losing possession far too often, don't know if he's holding on to the ball due to lack of movement from other players but his passing has also been a bit poor lately. Not like him at all.
