Think we'll get an idea today of what kind of influence he has over the players..

 

Right now, teams don't fear us at all... We don't need a single pounding win, we need a few back-to-back. To boost our morale and break theirs... Right now a * Huns team has people rolling over more or less before they even play...

 

Brendan, are you asking yourself the same question?

Desperate last roll of the dice from an under pressure, panicking manager desperate for a reaction from somewhere, anywhere from HIS team and HIS players.

We now need to win pretty much every game to win the league - I'm hoping and praying, but definitely not expecting.

 

Think we already have an idea tbh mate. Not a * lot sadly.

 

He should be getting a better tune out of these players than he is, that I agree with. As I said, he's by no means blameless in the current situation.

 

I had the same concerns about Brown during the COVID season. But on the other hand, I've captained in * sports and unfortunately people do get affected by the noise around them. Negativity out of influential players or people around the team can torpedo your efforts to keep everyone 100% motivated. As soon as people get into their heads that they're going to lose the game/season/tournament, they start half-arsing it. And some people are more prone to it than others.

Rodgers is more or less correct in what he's saying. If you can't handle pressure, this is the wrong club. And we don't need players with negative mentalities, we need players who still have fight in them when the chips are down. Let's hope he gets a response out of them.
