Like it’s one of those things I go back and forth on of if we just dont know as fans what it entails altogether, because the alternative to that, is that we look surprised that whenever a window opens and we’re just utterly incompetent.

And for a while I gave the benefit of the doubt. January there though? That can’t be explained away

Seems the last straw for most.

Matter of time for how long the members of the board could keep getting away with this sort of nonsense and having the benefit of the doubt.

Even still giving them that benefit, you then need to ask how stupid they are to not change it?

Reminded (someone else already mentioned the other week as well) again of the scene in Casino, where DeNiro calls out the bosses son for the puggies paying out jackpot 3 times in a row - either you're in on it, or you're too dumb to be rubbing a casino.
The boards either complacent and *, or too dumb to run a football club.

Or are very successful at running it, in a very specific sort of way. Just enough to keep profits rolling in. That’s patently been the way we’ve worked.

The more I think about it the more infuriating it is.

Huns showing today how important even a couple of decent new signings can be.

We will look back on this season and shake our heads but in particular, the January window as the biggest turning point.

If this is how we operate from a position of strength, I’m genuinely terrified at the prospect of how we act if/when we’ve lost the title and the financial repercussions that come with that.

So to justify holding so much money they've shoved it into various investments but - bizarrely - not into players for the squad. Have I got that right?

Aye but remember they’re just as disappointed as the rest of us that our targets were “unavailable” and we couldn’t get any deals done.

The woman's EPL is about to become a massive rival for the SPFL, they're going to get more coverage than the SPFL, the powers that be can't have one and only team dominate the league... and they can't have a league without a Glasgow rivalry...and if we were to win this year, we'd be over £110m richer...it would be the death knell for the SPFL...this is why rangers have to win this season... for ALL concerned.

Sadly for everyone who gives up their season ticket there's at least 1 waiting to take it. Walk out would bring the biggest attention

I really wish we would just ditch sky already.

Can't believe we had an actual great idea 20 odd years ago to do a league TV channel, but only to be a bit too early for the technology.

Now, the technology is there and we just don't care any more.

I'd honestly take an Spfl TV setup, where the revenue was split a lot more even between all clubs, than stick with the likes of sky for any longer.

Aye, 3 January signings scored for them today.

We don’t even have 3 January signings.

I know mate but I think any significant downward trend would be noticed.

Even if they can replace those tickets, you can’t do that forever. There is ultimately a limited pool of Celtic fans, and frankly over demand is what lets you set a significant price for the tickets.

They would need to react in my opinion. Their precious shareholders would question reduced demand for the product.

And they also wouldn’t give the slightest *, it’s happened before. They closed a tier in the stadium, didn’t give the slightest *.

And you know what shook them out there reverie and made us kick on and actually try and get the most out of our potential in a club? Was it a sense of duty, was it passion to make us the best we could be? Was it everyone coming together and doing the best they possibly can?

Nah Dermot didn’t get a handshake, and got celebrated infront of off a Hun director. Got offended. Then we done it.

The sad thing though is one win in the CL is worth about £2.5m so having spent some of that cash pile could have got you more than the interest for just leaving it sit there and you still would have got a decent chunk of that interest anyway.

Very difficult when Lawwell Jnr is scouting players who aren’t even available.

Said this plenty times over the summer where were spending peanuts. A few bits of quality over the summer and we definitely could have done something in our CL group. Couple of wins and one of the quality players would have been all but paid for. It also then makes it easier to attract better players if you are doing better in Europe. It’s just a complete lack of ambition and any long term future. Which some of our fans have as well to be fair.

Agree here it is not this boards way they view ambition as uncertainty and would rather not spend that money on one player incase he’s a Barkas or Ajeti.

All this despite as you say if we spent say £6-7m on someone to come in and play and they perform well in CL as well as any prize money picked up they also will be worth more than what we paid for them.
