    I agree.

I'd also like us to take the time and effort into making a difference on the pitch. Will this? Time will tell but if my kid was at Celtic, I'd be telling him or her to jump ship as we're a complete shambles on the pitch and off it with no idea how to nurture talent currently.

Although this is a step in the right direction (hopefully), it's way too late. I'm not going to pat anyone on the back for sorting a job that should've been done years, probably decades, ago.

As far as I'm concerned, it's a smoke and mirrors job.

Wasn't the same said about Lennox town and the youth setup? We really didn't gain much from that. Not sure what McCart or anyone is expecting ANOTHER facility to do in helping the academy.

Without giving away too much. They're already cost cutting with the redevelopment and looking at cheaper options.

    So Celtic.

how much are we actually spending so kids and womens teams have top facilities , you have to wonder what the * is going on when you look at what the first team have to play their games on

These developments should never be done at the detriment to the quality of the first team. Simple as.
The money for these should not be included in first team transfers and progression but will be used as an excuse for it.

Without knowing much about him, is Chris McCart another one guaranteed a job for life until he doesn’t want it?

    Same as Lennoxtown then?

Full sized pitch being reduced again?

Well it's certainly not performance based.

He seems to have got ethos of the club spirit tho. The amount of coaches with links to motherwell or who share a surname with a former celt is wild

If the women or b team are going to use it for games it'll need to be full size, so not likely.

I reckon 99% of fans would rather see a winning team on the park than a new training facility after all, * did Lennoxton actually produce in developing players or training exercises where we can learn how to defend crosses and/or practice shooting. Pile of pish but not unexpected from the shysters on that fecking board

To be fair its not an either or situation. We have enough money to do both. This development is good for the infrastructure of the club but in classic Celtic fashion they have not done as much as they should in not including a small stadium field that can seat about 5,000 as a home game base for the womens team and B team so we don't need any more of this Airdrie *. But even if we did that there is still enough money there to buy the level of player we need in the 6-8 bracket just like we did with Jota and CCV and build this infrastructure.
As for Lennoxtown. The issue is not the facility but the lack of a proper platform for our B team and the clubs refusal to modernize its coaching set up by including more specialists such as a set piece coach.
