His Leicester team had all it's assets sold off. Let's be fair.
Jota, Mooy, Hetate, Starfelt, CCV have all been replaced this season with pound shop replacements.
I didn't think he should have come back, I wanted Knutsen. I was kinda excited thinking no way would he put up with the garbage he was given last time and the missing out of Mcginn. He has been given absolute * to work with.

The Abada situation could be causing a lot of unrest too.

We are a shambles but don't think it's all Rodgers fault. He should really be sacked for losing that lead though but the board would have to put hands in pockets.

To have scouts like Brighton there to scout a position, we would need to employ actual scouts.

To have good relationships with agents and even other clubs, we would need a recruitment manager and a CEO who aren't considered to be completely useless and impossible to deal with.

    That's our two main problems.

We don't actually have any scouts.
We are * to deal with, because we pretend to be top dogs when reality is, we are mediocre club on the world stage now.

I think the logic is that Korea is also an untapped market and probably one that Ange had at least some knowledge of. The difference is, we're not trying to buy their topscoring strikers or player of the year, we're going for guys that come off the bench in their second tier. Same old pennypinching, lucky-dip style signing policy.

I take that point but we did try buy their top scorer Cho, who may have been a success here, seems to be doing well in Denmark but Oh looked promising. Yang was their young player of the year. Kwon was bizarre I give you that.

I actually think we have been scouting Cho at the Military team and Kwon was playing with them then too and probably seen him there rather than his stint in the K2.

we are gonna need about 7 or 8 first team quality players in the summer ,whatever work that needs to be done to make that happen should be happening right now .with nothing changing in in terms of first team recruitment this wont be whats going on .in fact if we fail to win the league we will hear some pathetic bullshit about no being able to sign players due to no champions league . whoever left us in the position were only idah and kuhn were signed to win a £60 m jackpot need sacked ,why has it not happened already

Wait, still? I know Congerton’s disasterous stint took us from over 50 to about 3.

After Jay Lefevre was the defacto Chief Scout, starting under Lenny then unde Ange, I was under the impression we’d built the scouting department up again?

surely to * we’re no still sitting with 3 * scouts 4/5 year later? You got a link for this? Cos surely to * not

Who did Leicester sell while he was there that significantly weakened them? Fofana and Schmeichel? Not many else - still had Maddison, Barnes, Ndidi, Tielemans, Soyuncu (who he bombed out), had a better keeper than Danny Ward that he refused to play. Most of those left in the summer there.

I don't think its all his fault. I also agree we've not replaced our outgoings well enough too - but the broader point about it being a poor appointment was that he didn't suit the players we did still have in the squad and he was always gonna divide the fanbase, ego clash with Lawwell and has nothing to prove up here. It was Dermot Desmond playing * again despite having no clue about football.

Can't find any info or hint of any scouts other than 4 guys who have "senior" roles as head of Scouting, lead first team scout, head of recruitment etc.

I'd honestly not even believe the 50 tally either
That will include (the vast majority of them) a "network" of scouts we are in talks with who would provide some details if needed, sort of as a consultant thing. But not actual scouts that are employed solely by the club and tasked with specific duties.

Jow dungeon, jay laferve, Strachan's boy, mark Lawwell. All four in middle management level jobs, none of them actually doing scout work it would seem.

    What's our recruitment plan?

Hold on, I'll get my crayons and something out of the recycling bin.

To help provide the maximum amount of dividends to the shareholders as possible.

We don’t actually have many scouts.

I’m yet to see anything that suggests we don’t just present options to the manager on players offered to us by agents.

    Pretty much this.

They don't even bother to look over forums like here or even play FM and pretend they're in the know on some low key talents hiding in the back end of nowhere.

5 of us paid 30k a year, with access to WyScout, a FM database and allowed to go on two trips to the continent a year would come up with better options than mark lawwell and his cronies, and I bet mark Lawwell being paid probably more than the combined 5 of us and have his expenses completely paid for.

Not to mention the other useless idiots with middle management titles.

Whatever the plan is, it's failing. If indeed we have next to no scouts on our books, there is a clear, tangible improvement we can make immediately.

If our strategy of unearthing gems (O'Riley, Kyogo, Jota, CCV.....it can be done) is to work, there has to be investment in the infrastructure I.e. spending good money on scouts. Otherwise any contacts we use are gonna palm us off with 2nd and 3rd tier players they've scouted, keeping the top talents for clubs who pay them more and with whom they've built a good relationship.

Over 50 under Park is definitely a real figure that we had. That didn’t include the ‘network’ of guys connected to the club, like Lubo etc being occasionally contracted ad hoc to have a look at someone his neck of the woods.

They’ll have guys to manage those guys, we’re * dicks but not have 4 scouts all scouting managers with no scouts to manage

That’s not Rodgers fault though. The people who interviewed him should have seen through that if that was the case. He said he wanted a year away from football, we have obviously begged him to come back.

We’re ran by dinosaurs who have absolutely no idea how to take the club forward. That’s the long and short of it.

We don't have one. Is the simplest answer right now.

It's worrying how behind the times we are for a supposedly ambitious club.

Redeveloping an old training field is great and all but the priorities should be focused on improving the first team squad as an asset.
