Begs the question if he says we lack tempo and intensity...what the * are you doing about it?? Cause the last half an hour was disgraceful. Team looked * and afraid. So weak both physically and mentally it's unreal. That's on him.

Not having anyone saying support need to do more. The support don't need to step up. It's the officials connected with the club that need to step up.

It just seems like he's lost some of the squad. Compare them having a joke with Ange on the touchline last season, to our management not offering any encouragement at all. They had someone talking them through games last season, now that's gone. When you invest in younger inexperienced players, they need that.

His job is on the line here. Since November the performances have dropped off a cliff. It's not down to players missing as the ones already here have went backwards. All of them. Only Hart has played to any level of decency. I don't of Rodgers was expecting better signings in the window, we were. But even so, he has to get more out of these players. And they also have a responsibility for their performances. It's an absolute * show. I wouldn't be surprised if Rodgers resigns because if he can't improve this squads performances we are going to throw this title away and give those * across the city a financial lifebelt.

I honestly sat there watching that game yesterday thinking to myself that I would actually take kevin muscat tomorrow if I could, I don't care if he played a handful of games for the huns or whatever it was if he could come in and get us playing some version of angeball that the players and coaches are familiar with and change the players mindset to be more brave and aggressive then I wouldn't be against it at all.

I might feel differently in couple days time but I can't watch anymore of this pedestrian pish and feel any kind of hope for the season.

The players missing idea is a bit of a convenient excuse. Hatate wasn't even getting a game ahead of Turnbull earlier in the season. Taylor was the weakest link in our side and we are now missing him when he is injured. CCV is undoubtedly a miss but the reason we cant beat killie at home has nothing to do with missing a centre half. Not only that we have 2 fit centre halfs that we spent millions on and refuse to play. Just mismanagement all over the place.

The defence hasn't been the biggest issue. It's been from midfield forward. We aren't creating enough chances and when we do we aren't taking them. Midfield is failing to dominate games, any possession we have is sterile and flat. Teams are happy for Scales and Welsh to have the ball. There is no one from midfield who goes and takes it off them. Brown used to do it brilliantly. There is a fear among the players and a lack of bravery to demand the ball and make the right decisions when on it.

I'm not overly excited at Hatate coming back, as you said he struggled before going to the AC and suddenly he is going to change everything. Said the same thing about Maeda and yesterday he was worse than useless. It's a * show. We had the chance to bring in a couple of genuine quality players that would have made a difference but failed to do so. We brought another £3m dud and a bench player from Norwich who did okay yesterday which shows the expectations we are at . That is solely on the board. The performances are on the players and the manager.

He would have been a good appointment. At least the football would have been decent to watch as well.

I have said this before but you can't build a team in one man's image without doing one of two things when he leaves:

    1) Bring in someone who plays a very similar way. For instance Kevin Muscat. Not saying he was the answer but that is the type of appointment we would have needed to make if continuity was our aim.

    2) Go and get someone like Rodgers but back him with cold, hard cash. He plays a totally different style to Ange so if you bring him in then you have to bring in at least 3, probably 4 established players who can fit his style. Rodgers got 9 players in the summer. Not one who could be considered established and not one you would consider a Rodgers type player. He obviously regrets trusting the recruitment team as much as he did.

So the fact we now have a team built in another man's image and style, combined with awful recruitment means Rodgers looks in real trouble. Sevco have hired a guy known as a pragmatist who can usually use what he has and get the best out of them. Rodgers plays a certain way and it is the complete opposite to Ange. If you had told me last summer that in February we would be lining up with Ralston, Welsh, Scales and Bernabei with Idah up front- I would have went batshit crazy. This is not acceptable and heads need to roll if Sevco do the unthinkable.

Still here, the definition of madness is to keep doing the same things and expecting a different result

Noting the body language between him and Kennedy isn't looking to great either. It's like when they look at each other they know things are unravelling

    Get this * to *.

We're not going to pull the trigger until its virtually impossible to win this league. So depressing that we're going through this once again.

I despise every last one of them for what they've done to this club and what they've allowed to happen this season.

A lot to be said for Anges old school set up, I remember hearing at the start of the season Rodgers mingles about in the dressing as Ange only went in when needed. We have lost the fast intense press and passion. Passing it about too much between our defenders with no impotence.
We should have a cm capable of shooting outside the box and we pounce on what ever rebounds, defenders start get weary of the long shot and then openings will appear for passes. All the teams know we are just going to go back now and that's been happening since the start of the season.

At which point does BR acknowledge that its just no happenin' and change his approach?

We have had 8 wingers play this season, none of them yet successful - Palma here and there maybe.
Slow forward play and sideways passing plus the low block and limited space in behind = average wingers simply can't play.
We also don't have anyone that can attack above ground level cross balls anyway, so *?

Also our midfield simply can't defend, they are ALL forward thinking players - so when it gets into last 15mins it's panic stations.
We desperately need a defensive enforcer that is not CalMac. MoR at DM is a total waste of talent.

Sometimes you just have to play your best 11 and adjust the system, not have the system dictate the team and force fitting * players into - that's the tail wagging the dog.

I'd get rid of 'out and out wingers' entirely for domestic games. At least until we've got good ones.
    Go 3 at back, 3-4-3 or 3-5-2
Play a fluid front 2 or 3 of Kyogo, Idah and Palma.
Back 3 of CCV, Scales and AJ.
4 or 5 in midfield with true DM in middle (Iwata/Holm) and Taylor on left/inverted with MOR, CalMac and Hattate free to create and push into the box and play keepball when closing a game out.

    Hart

    Ralston
    Welsh
    Jenz
    Taylor

    McGregor
    Mooy
    Turbull

    Maeda
    Kyogo
    Abada

This was the side that lined up in September 2022 under Ange away to St. MIirren. We lost that game 2-0. It was obvious then that the squad lacked depth and without CCV, Juranovic, Starfelt, Hatate and Jota in particular we were not anywhere near the same team. We saw it in the dead rubber games towards the end of last season. Guys were given their chance and were miles off it. Now Rodgers is without CCV, Johnston, Starfelt, Hatate, Jota and Abada. An ageing Hart and no competition still at left back. Relying on guys who consistently proved not up to the job last year. Rodgers is not without blame. The drop off in quality from Kyogo in particular is alarming. McGregor is a shadow of himself as well. But what the man has to deal with is utter *. Its time for either a change in strategy or a change in the boardroom.

Landed on the first few pages of the this thread..

It's incredible he's been so poor and lots of blame lies at his door..

But as I've said before, I find it unbelievable they appointed such a divisive figure but then to not back him...
