I can never really see what our strategy is. OK we got key players tied to long contracts- CCV, Hatate, Abada(before the Israeli genocide), Kyogo and McGregor. Ok not too bad. But then we sell Starfelt for a fairly paltry fee, bring in 2 players who amount to a huge drop in quality. We bring in a host of projects and seemingly not one player of established credentials. We have loads of cash reserves yet it doesnt be invested. Not on the team. Not on the stadium. Not on the hospitality. Not on the training ground. It is kept for a 'rainy day'.

A rainy day we are bringing on ourselves. Invest in the team and the rest takes care of itself. I could half understand if everything else like the stadium was being upgraded but it isn't. And that * Lawell had the cheek in October to talk about how 'hugely satisfying' the financial results were. Aye I bet it was with all the bonuses handed out. * parasites.

They’re miles off being the best people to run the club.

What are the chances the CEO we appointed 20 years ago and his assistant being the best people to run Celtic 20 years later.

Oh and it just so happens his son is actually the outstanding candidate to do the recruitment. What a lovely coincidence.

    It’s * bullshit. I’m sick of it.

Seriously, a bunch of huns would struggle to sabotage the club as badly as our board does. Spending 10 million to gain 60 million would be a no brainer for anyone with ambition.

The weasels on the board obviously thought they could get a manager on a big salary to work wonders with dross players and save them spending money. Backfired massively. The whole system needs ripped out head to toe, maybe bring the club in line with how a professional football club should be run. GET THEM OUT

This situation is bred and nurtured by the ego of one man. Dermot Desmond.

The board are nothing but straw men. Their only function is to carry out the instructions of a * despot.

We're now in Ashley's Newcastle United territory, make no mistake.

The board is a dead stick of an issue. They do what theyre told.

Just like Ashley, an early honeymoon period where money was seemingly spent was over as soon as a number of issues became clear.
The issue of chief importance being; Dermot Desmond doesn't have a * clue about football. None. Nada. Zero.
Running our club like his own personal championship manager. Which is all fine and dandy if you're willing to splash your own * cash. He isn't.
The most important decisions are being dictated by a clueless megalomaniac, who makes football decisions on the back of personal preferences. Re: look at Mike Ashley's managerial appointments. Ex Newcastle heroes peppered with idiotic appointments because he liked the cut if their jib. Just like Desmond.

Ashley, just like Desmond also appointed his own Peter Lawell; Derek Llambias. An absolute shark of a man whose only function was to keep the money train rolling and keep managers' expectations and ambitions reigned in. Sound familiar?

Christ, Newcastle's signing policy even exactly mirrors our own. Scouting headed up by a "chief scout", buy low fee players, sell them on; hence the raft of french imports no one had * heard of at NUFC. It died a death after 3 years.

Ex hero player to keep fans onside, Alan Shearer - Neil Lennon anyone?
Bring back an ex manager who had success and hamstring him in the market, Kevin Keegan - Brendan Rodgers?

The blueprint is the same. "* the fans, this MY club. Not ours. MINE."

The board doesn't matter. Just like Newcastle's didn't.

All that matters is getting the billionaire * calling the shots out the * door. A man so devoid of introspection that he'd rather suffer eternal infamy than relinquish control.

    Desmond OUT.

    1) What are we good at as a club? Even our pitch is *.

    2) How can 90% of a fan base including casual fans identify huge weaknesses within a starting eleven, only for people paid handsomely to rectify said weaknesses to ignore them or be ignored?

We’re the richest guy in the graveyard. That guy that’s terrified to spend his money, and passes away quietly as a millionaire, with no beneficiaries.

Anybody that ever says we’re a well run club again should seek help.

They need removed, plain and simple. None of them care about Celtic Football Club. All they are doing is looking after their bank balances.

Seriously, there are teams in the English lower leagues that are operating better than we are, with vastly less money in and around the club.

They have a Dof in place. Proper scouting departments. A team in place that cares about footballing operations, shareholders and investors that ACTUALLY turn up to the games and meetings.

    It's become embarrassing now.

So here we are, from arrogantly and lazily looking down from castle Lawell on the poor wee paupers across the city atop the biggest pile of unspent cash in our history....toward a rangers treble, untold UCL riches and the poor wee paupers getting set to storm the crumbling old castle.

    Stop going to games.

I told my 10 year old daughter yesterday she won't be back a CP until this board are gone.

She loves going but I'm not being cheated out my pocket any more by these thieves.

This is it for me. There's no logical reason, no logical business reason to weaken over two windows when the largest financial prize in history is on offer, unless it's deliberate. It makes no sense from a financial point of view. Bottom line is, it's not in anyone's interest to have one team £120m ahead and thus constantly winning everything. I mean just look at this year's cheating by VAR and the refs to gift rangers at least 10 extra points, it's blatant...parity must be restored at all costs...for the good of the Scottish game.

    Edit...
I need to move on lol :)

Apparently a video of fans abusing Lawwell Jr going around.

Couple of sites reported it this morning including the record but it's been removed.

    Anyone seen it?

Wondering if its been removed due to it being police matter?

Edit: never mind just seen video in lawwell thread. Nowhere near as good as I was hoping it would be. Still seems strange sites have all removed link to it

The board is holding the club back. Celtic (and all sports teams for that matter) should belong to its supporters. It's not a pipe dream. Hearts, Motherwell and St Mirren are owned by their supporters. Why not Celtic as well? All german teams including Bayern Munich are fan owned. Barca and Real Madrid are fan owned. The same goes for the vast majority of teams in Brazil including powerhouses like Corinthians, Gremio, Flamengo, Sao Paulo, Santos, Palmeiras, International, Fluminense, I could go on and on.

Reluctance to invest in the squad is only part of the problem. We are talking about the same board which banned the fans for speaking out against a genocide for crying out loud! They are openly against the values of our club. We should run riot till the board leaves the club and hands its shares to the supporters.
