Thats the thing mate isn’t it, he talks about * like that, and there’s no evidence of him implementing that intensity at all.

And that’s where it feels like mixed messages from BR is stopping from what he wants, and what he’s actually getting the guys on the pitch to do. We know his style well enough between his two stints at us here that it boils down to patient build up, slow build up, control of the game, possession and safe play. It’s football by numbers, paraphrasing this but I read an article about the style of management that plays it by the percentages. Long shots only result in a goal 3% of the time (made the percentage up btw) that’s too unlikely, so pass it five yards next to you, don’t pass it the guy 3 players across the pitch that may be open to attack a gap in the defence… because skipping out 3 players and a threading a pass between a defender results in losing the ball a certain bla bla% amount, that gets a counter attack a bla bla% of times, that leads to a goal bla bla… you get the jist of what I mean aye? Because for me that’s what I’m watching every week. And it’s why Kyogo makes 50 * great runs a game, and nobody attempts to find him, because it’s a harder pass that 9 times out of 10 won’t reach him but if he does that many a game, the 2/3 times it * does we score.

it’s rigid, boring, turgid and completely lacks spontaneity. Another problem, which is more BR’s personality himself, we’ve got a * supreme unearned air of arrogance about us. To such an extent we score one, we try and swagger about thinking well we’re ahead now we’re winning. And its all very lackadaisical and arrogant. Instead of working * hard and going dor the throat

    His entire * career mate.

He’s always been a chancer… now he’s a lazy * chancer, just coasting picking up his pay check.

There’s no intensity aggression or bite to our play. The tactics and tempo are crap, I’m not surprised the interviews are the same. A team is a reflection of their manager’s personality… we’ve no fight in us, and we’ve got a wet * teabag in the dugout!

We scored our 70th goal of the season today, we've usually got 100 by now.
Well be lucky ti get 100 by seasons end, when is the last time we went a season and scored less than 100 goals

Ahh see this where we come to the anomaly of his career because this is true and also really not true… because it’s pretty much 50/50. He’s always came into a talented underperforming team, got them to buy into him, got them performing, picked one or two younger guys to coach one on one and bring on to a new level. And then 18 months in, 2 years in, * lasted 3 years in at Leicester which is a record… the guys take a look around at each other after a Brendan Rodgers trademark philosophical speech in Spanish to a bunch of Londoner’s who struggle to speak English and think…. This guys a pompous * * int he.

    Then the magic breaks.

This is the first time he’s went in to a squad performing at it’s peak, after a manager who is hands down superior to him, who is such an opposite in personality and character - I think it’s went from that to him coming in trying the ol’ razzle dazzle veneery charm and everycunts went, well this guys a * chode int he.

Apart from Matt O’Riley, who’s the guy he’s singled out to improve on and coach one on one sorta way. No surprise there that though, he was constantly linked to Leicester he was the one guy BR knew what he wanted to do with him.

Thought the subs he made today were chronic … the same mistake he made against St Mirren was taking Idah off and losing that focal point upfront to play off of, we were instantly worse.

    What’s Knutsen up to?

What is there, 13/14 games left? Aye can’t see that. Barely got two players cracking the ten goal barrier, never mind 20. Never mind 30.

I imagine Kyogo would be targeting 35/40 start of the season. Then he got * Brendaned

Enjoying his comfortable job with an incredible deal sharing in the profit of guys he sells, punting * for millions every now and again. Sitting in his igloo.

He’s knocked back any club thats approached him. And there’s been a weird trend of success with Bodo/Glint, as soon as the players anyway leave, they turn *. Might just be * hot in the artic

Tbh even if we were to get him, he wouldn’t ever be given the control he would need to push us on a level. I think Ange is probably the furthest the board will ever relinquish control, which is quite sad to think that’s our ceiling in their eyes.

Which is why I can’t ever see us getting a proper DoF in place. Always been against the idea, I’m more of the old school manager is the manager sort of style but it’s more and more obvious we’re crying out for one

Aye I think most top clubs in the world now use one, we’re useless at looking at how a squad should develop and recycle over the seasons so it’s a no brainer.

    In full agreement with Rodgers.

The players lack belief and intensity. And it's entirely HIS fault.

When players believe in a system and are confident in it's application their game, is automatically raised.
These players don't believe in Rodgers, or his tactical approach.

He can try to throw them under the bus all he wants. But he's conveniently omitting that he's the * bus driver.

This. The majority of players were used to 100mph attacking football. Basically beating down your opponents.

Rodgers brand of football is slower and instead of peppering the box and goal, it's trying to find gaps that aren't there and won't appear, and teams have realised thats what he wants us to do and and they know how to not only defend against it, but the know how to counter it.

Rodgers has been in semi retirement mode from the get go, the same mode our board are permanently in.
    • He was talked out of taking a year off in Majorca after turning 50 - red flag #1
    • Told and thought it would be easy, minimal effort, maximum glory - trust the model, just need to beat one average team and manager. Nae bother!
    • That arrogant, half arsed approach from Rodgers et al was quickly mirrored on the park by the team.
    • Changed from a highly successful style that suited the whole squad to one that didn't.
    • Let Lawell bring in 9 crap players in without any input other than are these ok Brendan? yeh whatever, he says.
    • 'I coach what I'm given' excuse trotted out - the biggest red flag imaginable
    • Gave guys like Turnbull, Johnston, Forrest, Oh et al runs in team - he dropped Hattate for Turnbull and Kyogo for Oh FFS.
    • He alone almost blew the last old firm game moving us from absolutely cruising to full scale panic by making the 3 worst substitutions in our history.
    • Asks for 'quality' in Jan and says he has final say but was told 'that's not what we agreed, leave it to us, it will all be fine, successful.model' blah de blah
All the way through this, coming across as a guy in cruise control, lackadaisical attitude on and off park, what crisis? quoting carefully selected stats, look at the results not performances, fans want too much, blah de blah.

Now that results are truly reflecting the performances and he can't hide any longer, he's in total panic mode and simply doesn't know what to do or say.

So here we are, from arrogantly looking down on the poor wee paupers across the city atop the biggest pile of unspent cash in our history....toward a rangers treble, untold UCL riches and the paupers threatening to storm the castle.

Watch his post match interview on bbc Scottish football, his body language is terrible, fidgeting , pulling at his collar and tie, rubbing his nose and avoiding eye contact.
Your time is up mate, move on and do us all a favour and take the Lawell clowns with you.

Banners need to be made and chants of Rodgers out need to be heard loud at games. Needs to have it drummed into him that his time is up.

What I don't get is how he went from making Liverpool the most attacking exciting side iv ever seen to deciding he wants bore ball. Was it the coach who took the training that he got lucky with? It's no him anyway. * disgrace.

The fans are there...they are always there. They do back the team. They're giving far more to the cause than the team, management and board are giving currently. And guess what, they'll be there again next week, and the week after that.

And in that time, can you say that things will improve tactically or they'll actually grow a back bone and play positively for the 90 plus minutes??? Bear in mind this has gone on for months this style and decline of football were being given.

Aye your right, things need to improve, but it's not at the supporters end where the improvement needs to come from!!!

His presser on Fridays looks silly now eh :56:

But he’ll continue to say that as long as he’s here. (Which will be 3 years imo) He’s got a free pass.
